WHERE DO YOU STAND? DO YOU KNOW?

Psalms 92:5  How magnificent your work, God! How profound your thoughts! Dullards never notice what you do; fools never do get it. You could live your life here on earth holding onto an assumption that there is no influence of God on earth and that there is no afterlife. That is actually a type of believe, however what really is? You could also live your life here, hearing about the creator, however, do you have any relationship with the Heavenly Father Himself. Listen only Christ can make this happen for You. John 14:6-7,9-10 Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. If you had really known me, you would know who my Father is. From now on, you do know him and have seen him!” Jesus replied, “Have I been with you all this time, Philip, and yet you still don’t know who I am? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father! So why are you asking me to show him to you? Don’t you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in m

IN ALL GIVE HIM PRAISE

Psalms 92:1 It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to the Most High. If we do not praise the Lord, who will we praise? For what really is man without His creator? Genesis 2:7 Then the Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground. He breathed the breath of life into the man’s nostrils, and the man became a living person. We have come a long way from creation, the history of our existence could make us feel that we are so special a being that we forget that we are nothing without the creator. Listen to verse 6 of Psalm 92 Psalms 92:6  Dullards never notice what you do; fools never do get it. For when Christ came He made the revelation of who the Heavenly Father is and gave a glimpse of His kingdom. Love was revealed and true life was offered for all who will receive. Matthew 11:28  "Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. The situation of many are

LOOKING FROM THE OTHER SIDE

Matthew 7:12 “Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets. One of the greatest ill we see in the world today is that character of humans that makes them do to people what they cannot take themselves. You don't like being treated this way or that way, yet you are quick to treat others the same way. Is that not an irony? Definitely there are people that need to be cautioned again and again yet are we ready to be cautioned when we also err? Or do we see it as persecution? I asked some teachers some time ago, who witnessed a child being flogged for a minor err, if they could also be ready to take the strokes that they were meting out. You know it is so easy to stand as a judge, to see the errors of others. However, wisdom is to see your errors and correct them. You are laughing at someone who failed at their job after working for fifteen years, yet you have just worked a few years, do you know how yours w

HIS PROMISES: LONG LIFE

Psalms 91:16 I will reward them with a long life and give them my salvation.” Glory to God! Our lives are in the hands of the Almighty. He created and He  determines who stays and who leaves. He has also placed this choice in our hands. It is not just about having a life but a satisfying one, that is why the Lord added -". . .  give them my salvation . . ." It is one thing to live it is another to live a fulfilling life. Christ through whom all of God's promises are fulfilled declared to us: John 10:10b My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life. Knowing all these, who then will want to threaten us? Hebrews 13:6 So we can say with confidence,  “The Lord is my helper, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?” So as we go closer to the end of this month, come closer to Him who gives you life and salvation. Remember that He also takes care of our afterlife. It is a full package. Glory. His promises are fulfilled in us through Christ Jesus. Glory to H

HIS PROMISES: SPECIAL ATTENTION

Psalms 91:15 When they call on me, I will answer;  I will be with them in trouble.  I will rescue and honor them. It is often said by some ministers that the only prayer a sinner has is that of salvation. They truly have a reason for that: John 9:31 (KJV) Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth. This could be a different discussion entirely. However we are looking at God's attention to His own, those who accept Him: John 1:12 But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. Definitely a child has that special attention of the Father. Thus, every believer should understand that the Lord does not take their prayers for granted. Psalms 56:8 You keep track of all my sorrows.  You have collected all my tears in your bottle.  You have recorded each one in your book. Christ emphasized it: Matthew 7:9-11 “You parents—if your children ask for a loaf of bread, do you give the

HIS PROMISES: FOR THOSE WHO LOVE, TRUST AND OBEY HIM

Psalms 91:14 The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name. The chorus of the hymn "trust and obey" has the following lyrics: "Trust and obey, for there's no other way To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey" We have been talking about God's promises, that they are fulfilled in Christ Jesus as the scriptures say. The Heavenly Father has the condition for His blessings and it has never changed. Exodus 20:6 But I lavish unfailing love for a thousand generations on those who love me and obey my commands. This was the summary of the first part of the commandments from the mouth of the Heavenly Father Himself. The second part had to do with our relationship with others.  Jesus summarized it clearly: Mark 12:30 And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.’ For without this You cannot be made a member of the family neither do you have access to His prom

HIS PROMISES: TRAMPLE LIONS AND SERPENTS

Psalms 91:13 You will trample upon lions and cobras; you will crush fierce lions and serpents under your feet! We of course know that the enemy has been described as two different animals from the time of creation - the serpent(dragon) and the lion(beast): Genesis 3:1,15 The serpent was the shrewdest of all the wild animals the Lord God had made. One day he asked the woman, “Did God really say you must not eat the fruit from any of the trees in the garden?” And I will cause hostility between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring.  He will strike your head, and you will strike his heel.” Revelation 12:9 This great dragon—the ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, the one deceiving the whole world—was thrown down to the earth with all his angels. 1 Peter 5:8 Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. Yes, the enemy comes in this two ways to accomplish his purpose which is: John

HIS PROMISES: ANGELS WORK FOR OUR GOOD

Psalms 91:12 They will hold you up with their hands so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone. We looked at the ministry of Angels yesterday, we understand that the Heavenly Father sends them on assignment concerning us: Psalms 91:11 For he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go. Their protection includes saving us from making mistakes, getting into danger or unforseen evils. Just like we see in the fiction movie "superman", the angels have extra-human abilities here on earth, for the earth is a lesser planet/territory. We see their actions in scriptures: In Genesis 19, they had already instructed Lot to flee Sodom and Gomorrah with his family, however Lot was hesitant, he was slow, so the Angel had to help them out: Genesis 19:15-16 At dawn the next morning the angels became insistent. “Hurry,” they said to Lot. “Take your wife and your two daughters who are here. Get out right now, or you will be swept away in the destruction of the city!” When Lot still hes

HIS PROMISES: ANGELS ON ASSIGNMENT

Psalms 91:11 For he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go. The angels are God's workmen they carry out their assignments as the Lord had purposed them, everyone having his duty and reason for being. Also they Lord have those that go on errands again and again. For instance we know from scriptures of Angel Gabriel that brought messages to Daniel and Mary. In the new dispensation scriptures reveal to us that angels also minister to those of us who are saved, having received adoption as sons: Hebrews 1:14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation? However in no way are we given the right to command them thus and thus, they listen to the instruction of the Father. 2Kings 6:17 And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain [was] full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha. See here we s

HIS PROMISES: YOU AND YOUR HOME

Psalms 91:10 no evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your home. We look into His promises in Psalm 91, we see the two promises in verse 10. No evil will conquer you: This is a promise the Lord gave to His own and the prophet Isaiah re-echoes it: Isaiah 54:17 But in that coming day no weapon turned against you will succeed.  You will silence every voice raised up to accuse you.  These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the Lord; their vindication will come from me. I, the lord, have spoken! Remember that the people who lived at the time of these promises saw the shadow of it, when Christ came He brought them to full fruition: 2 Corinthians 1:20 For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory. Colossians 2:17 For these rules are only shadows of the reality yet to come. And Christ himself is that reality. Matthew 13:17 I tell you the truth, many prophets and rig

HIS PROMISES: CHOOSING HIM

Psalms 91:9 If you make the Lord your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter, The question always arises of what man's part is, in his own salvation. Does man play any part or is it entirely a God thing? To answer this we need to have an understanding of who man is. The man created by God was made in God's image and carry the attributes of God Himself, however, limited to the earth: Genesis 1:26-27 Then God said, “Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us. They will reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the wild animals on the earth, and the small animals that scurry along the ground.” So God created human beings in his own image.  In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. Thus man was not a robot, but a being with the power to make decisions. Genesis 2:19-20b So the Lord God formed from the ground all the wild animals and all the birds of the sky. He brought them to the man to see what he would c

HIS PROMISES: OPEN YOUR EYES

Psalms 91:8 Just open your eyes, and see how the wicked are punished. King David at one time thought that the wicked prospered why the good one's were allowed to suffer till his eyes were opened: Psalms 73:11-14,16-19 “What does God know?” they ask.  “Does the Most High even know what’s happening?” Look at these wicked people enjoying a life of ease while their riches multiply. Did I keep my heart pure for nothing?  Did I keep myself innocent for no reason? I get nothing but trouble all day long; every morning brings me pain. So I tried to understand why the wicked prosper.  But what a difficult task it is! Then I went into your sanctuary, O God, and I finally understood the destiny of the wicked. Truly, you put them on a slippery path and send them sliding over the cliff to destruction. In an instant they are destroyed, completely swept away by terrors. It took him entering the sanctuary of the Lord to really see the condition of the wicked. Until you encounter the Lord you may ma

HIS PROMISES: NOT AMONG THE NUMBERS

Psalms 91:7 Though a thousand fall at your side, though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you. That many perish from one trouble, pestilence, or war, does not imply that you would be affected. Truly we cannot stop the rising turmoils but as we ascertained yesterday, the Lord got us covered. It will not touch us. Halleluyah This is the promise of God to us.  Does this mean that we will not face persecution as believers? No, Paul explains further: 2 Corinthians 4:7-9 We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves. We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. Listen dear believer, God's promises of old are fulfilled in Christ Jesus and they are for now a

HIS PROMISES: SAFE FROM HIDDEN AND VISIBLE ATTACKS

Psalms 91:6 Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness, nor the disaster that strikes at midday. We do not live in denial of evil, neither do we cloud our mind with the consciousness of it. It is deceit to tell anyone that they will not experience difficulty or challenge one time or the other, the truth is that the Lord will deliver them from it all. Psalms 34:19 The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time. That is, no matter what comes our way the Lord always comes to our rescue. Glory to His name forever. So when He talks of the disease that stalks in darkness. The darkness here could mean what we cannot see, or that which there is no known cure for, for instance a virus. The Lord says we should not be afraid of it, why, He can handle it. Looking through scriptures we see healings of the leprous from the old testament even to the time of Christ's ministry on earth. So dear one, the Lord can keep you from and heal you of any strange o

HIS PROMISES: NIGHT AND DAY PROTECTION

Psalms 91:5 Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day. There was a time God gave the children of Israel victory over the Arameans. The battle took place on the hills, thus the officers of the Aramean king limited the God of Israel to the hills: 1 Kings 20:20-21,23 Each Israelite soldier killed his Aramean opponent, and suddenly the entire Aramean army panicked and fled. The Israelites chased them, but King Ben-hadad and a few of his charioteers escaped on horses. However, the king of Israel destroyed the other horses and chariots and slaughtered the Arameans. After their defeat, Ben-hadad’s officers said to him, “The Israelite gods are gods of the hills; that is why they won. But we can beat them easily on the plains. They told their king that if the fight the Israelites in the plains the would have victory over them. They did not know who the Heavenly Father was: 1 Kings 20:28-30 Then the man of God went to the king of Israel and said, “This is

HIS PROMISES: MOTHERLY CARE

Psalms 91:4 He will cover you with his feathers.  He will shelter you with his wings.  His faithful promises are your armor and protection. An attempt to take a cub away from its mother is a request for an attack. The Lord says He will cover us with His feathers and shelter us with His wings. This is full protection. To get the full picture of it, try having a glimpse of how great our God is: (For many have put a human - dead or alive - in their mind picture that they cannot see the Heavenly Father in glory. Wake up!) Isaiah 40:22 God sits above the circle of the earth.  The people below seem like grasshoppers to him!  He spreads out the heavens like a curtain and makes his tent from them. Do you see how great He is, then He promised to cover you and shelter you under His wings. What a great protection, what an unlimited care. That He who spreads the heaven like a curtain has you covered. Wow, who then can toil with you. Listen again: Isaiah 40:15 No, for all the nations of the world a

HIS PROMISES 2

Psalms 91:3 For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease. 2 Corinthians 1:20 For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory. The promises of God which were prophesied by the prophets of old come alive in Christ Jesus.  The coming of Christ was a full package! Look at the two in the opening verses: (1) I will rescue you from every trap:  to be rescued implies that there is surely a trap, who sets this trap? - The enemy. Understand that the enemy can be anyone at anytime. Selah For Jesus at a point referred to Peter as Satan - at one instance: Mark 8:33 Jesus turned around and looked at his disciples, then reprimanded Peter. “Get away from me, Satan!” he said. “You are seeing things merely from a human point of view, not from God’s.” Anyone could be an instrument in the hand of the enemy because the tactics of the enemy is to bring suggestions: 1

IN WHOM DO YOU TRUST?

Psalms 91:2 This I declare about the Lord:  He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him. The greatest alliance a nation could have is with the strongest nation of their time. When a threat snares, they seek help from their alliance and if the oppressors are wise they flee at the warning of the stronger nation. Christ said: Matthew 28:18 Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. The key word here is ALL, that means any other power must submit to Christ, for that is what the Heavenly Father has done: Philippians 2:10-11 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Thus wisdom is to have your alliance with Christ. The revelation of these great turn around was prophesied by the prophets of old: Psalms 91:1,9 Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow

THE SABBATH

Isaiah 56:2 Blessed [is] the man [that] doeth this, and the son of man [that] layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil. Certain sects have secluded themselves from others because of their belief in keeping of days, including birthdays, sabbath days and even singing of national anthems among others things. In Isaiah 56, the revelation of the study included the strangers that would be joined to the fold: Isaiah 56:3 Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the LORD, speak, saying, The LORD hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I [am] a dry tree. Isaiah 56:3-4 “Don’t let foreigners who commit themselves to the Lord say, ‘The Lord will never let me be part of his people.’  And don’t let the eunuchs say, ‘I’m a dried-up tree with no children and no future.’ For this is what the Lord says:  I will bless those eunuchs who keep my Sabbath days holy  and who choose to

ABOUT TEMPTATIONS

James 1:3 Knowing [this], that the trying of your faith worketh patience. There is no one who has not faced temptation, even our Lord Christ faced temptation. Temptation itself is not sin, everyone gets tempted one time or the other. Temptation comes in different forms and from various sources. It could be as a result of what you have done or what you did not do. It may be as a result of: * thoughts; * what we see; * what we hear; * a raising appetite; * an emotion/desire/lust; * anger; * pride/ego; * fear; * doubt; * riches; * what someone else does; really the sources are many. Just like a pit, temptation becomes a problem when you - "fall into it".  It may be by ignorance, lack of self control or just mere carelessness. No matter what it is, there is no excuse to fall. The consequences are there, every error has its consequences and if you have studied the scriptures, you will understand that they of different degrees. Thus every instruction and guidance of God is for our

HIS PEACE

Isaiah 26:3 Thou wilt keep [him] in perfect peace, [whose] mind [is] stayed [on thee]: because he trusteth in thee. Only God can give perfect peace. The nature of His Spirit is peace. Galatians 5:22 Going through Paul's letters you observe that he kept repeating this statement: 2Thessalonians 1:2  Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Why? It should be because Christ left us His peace when He was leaving the earth physically: John 14:27 "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. When Jesus was leaving the earth he left us with peace. He understood that we will face a lot of challenges. So many things will arise some real some may be a mirage, however in His peace we do not take rash actions we stay comported enough to make the right decision. John 16:33 I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have man

CHRIST CAME FOR US

Ephesians 2:14-15,18 For Christ himself has brought peace to us. He united Jews and Gentiles into one people when, in his own body on the cross, he broke down the wall of hostility that separated us. He did this by ending the system of law with its commandments and regulations. He made peace between Jews and Gentiles by creating in himself one new people from the two groups. Now all of us can come to the Father through the same Holy Spirit because of what Christ has done for us. Isaiah 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD [is] upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to [them that are] bound; The book of Isaiah was the revelation of Jesus the Christ, it showed what He came to do, His sufferings and the victory. So thus when Jesus had finished His fasting and overcame the temptations of Satan, He returned with power and entered the synagogue

MAKE US LIKE EAGLES

John 1:12-13 But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God. Something happens to us at the new birth, we receive the right to sonship, that means we are certified children of God and this implies that all His promises prophesied of old becomes our right. Isaiah  40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew [their] strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; [and] they shall walk, and not faint. Just like a child waits on the father, we also wait on our Heavenly Father, He then empowers us like eagles to amount strength to overcome whatever challenge comes our way. When a powerful eagle exposes itself to the land below, everyone begins to think it is in its place. Some foolishly take it is as common. Forgetting that the eagle still has its place at the high grounds. Don't t

TELL YOURSELF THE TRUTH

John 8:32 And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” This is one of the greatest revelation Christ brought to man. Why did Christ make this statement? The Jewish leaders at that time lived in denial, they had missed the way, they did not love God but they clung to the right to enjoy the privilege of the faithful ones. Christ put them in their place: (A long read, but very much worth it) John 8:31-44 Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” “But we are descendants of Abraham,” they said. “We have never been slaves to anyone. What do you mean, ‘You will be set free’?” Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave of sin. A slave is not a permanent member of the family, but a son is part of the family forever. So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free. Yes, I realize that you are descendants of Abraham. And y

HOW DO YOU SEE THINGS?

2 Corinthians 5:16 So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know him now! The interpretation of things, happenings and events are as a result of various factors. They include: * what we have experienced; * what we have been told; and * eventually if we have the opportunity, we get to see what exactly is. This is why we need the leading and direction of the Holy Spirit. 2Corinthians 5:16 Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer. Some where opportuned to see Jesus physically as a person. They saw him as a man, son of a carpenter, a prophet some saw him as Elijah returned. Only Peter at that time, had the privilege of knowing who exactly he was. Matthew 16:16-17 And Simon Peter answered and said, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." Jesus answe

YOU HAVE REASON TO REJOICE

Psalms 40:5 Many, O LORD my God, are Your wonderful works Which You have done; And Your thoughts which are toward us Cannot be recounted to You in order; If I would declare and speak of them, They are more than can be numbered. Why, what am I to be excited about? Why should I rejoice? Firstly because you are alive! Every other thing matters after you have life. For who can save a man after he is gone. For even the scriptures record: Psalms 89:48 No one can live forever; all will die. No one can escape the power of the grave. Hebrews 9:27 And just as each person is destined to die once and after that comes judgment, That is why suicide can never be the answer, you cannot resolve anything in the life to come except you settle it here, now. The one thing that separated man from God was "sin". Genesis 2:17 "but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die." But the Heavenly Father did not abandon

WE HAVE A "HAVEN"

Apart from the heaven that many know as the place where God lives and where they think they will be after the life here, there is a place of dwelling where God is, even here on earth. A haven! A haven is a place of safety; a refuge or sanctuary. Psalm 91:1-2 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust." It is not literally a place like a location as many people err today, calling this place or that place a holy sight. No Jesus said: John 4:21 Jesus replied, “Believe me, dear woman, the time is coming when it will no longer matter whether you worship the Father on this mountain or in Jerusalem. Some of us humans who are not matured still dwell on places, images and other forms of elementals forgetting that the Heavenly Father is Spirit so also is He worshipped - "in spirit". We live in the world where there are temptations and tri
