HIS PROMISES: NIGHT AND DAY PROTECTION

Psalms 91:5

Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day.

There was a time God gave the children of Israel victory over the Arameans. The battle took place on the hills, thus the officers of the Aramean king limited the God of Israel to the hills:

1 Kings 20:20-21,23

Each Israelite soldier killed his Aramean opponent, and suddenly the entire Aramean army panicked and fled. The Israelites chased them, but King Ben-hadad and a few of his charioteers escaped on horses.

However, the king of Israel destroyed the other horses and chariots and slaughtered the Arameans.

After their defeat, Ben-hadad’s officers said to him, “The Israelite gods are gods of the hills; that is why they won. But we can beat them easily on the plains.

They told their king that if the fight the Israelites in the plains the would have victory over them.

They did not know who the Heavenly Father was:

1 Kings 20:28-30

Then the man of God went to the king of Israel and said, “This is what the Lord says: The Arameans have said, ‘The Lord is a God of the hills and not of the plains.’ So I will defeat this vast army for you. Then you will know that I am the Lord.”

The two armies camped opposite each other for seven days, and on the seventh day the battle began. The Israelites killed 100,000 Aramean foot soldiers in one day.

The rest fled into the town of Aphek, but the wall fell on them and killed another 27,000. Ben-hadad fled into the town and hid in a secret room.

Today we are out of the bondage of the law and the unrevealed nature of the Heavenly Father, His Word, Christ Jesus revealed the Father to us. Everyone was called to this revelation and salvation, a free ticket to become part of God's family:

John 1:12-13

But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.

They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God.

That all should leave their superfluity of naughtiness and walk in righteousness with Him:

Titus 2:11-14

For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people.

And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God, while we look forward with hope to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed.

He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds.

However, up till this moment some are yet to accept this salvation, some have not heard, but the woe is on those who have heard and refused to believe.

Thus we still have the enemy in operation today through humans and spirit alike to bring harm both in the day and at night. The promises of God covers in both seasons:

Psalm 91:5

Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; [nor] for the arrow [that] flieth by day;

See the arrows that flieth by day can come in form of direct attacks, traps, or temptations to lure you into sin. They are there day after day, but the promise is that we should not be afraid, why, the Lord will deliver us from them all. We must listen - stay alert to the directs of God's Spirit in us.

What of at night, He says we should also not fear the terrors, why, He will deal with them.

The same way king Ben-hadad foolishly limited God to the hills, so also those who think the can terrerorise you at night will discover as he did that our God is an all rounder. He is God of the day and also of the night. HE CANNOT BE LIMITED.

John 16:33

I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”

The victory is already won. They can make all the noise, but they have already failed we already have the victory.

Spend time with the Heavenly Father, stay in tune always, no one loves you more than He does, no one can keep you safe, only He can.

Remember His promises are YES and AMEN in Christ Jesus.

He calls us blessed.

Love
