HIS PROMISES: MOTHERLY CARE

Psalms 91:4

He will cover you with his feathers. 

He will shelter you with his wings. 

His faithful promises are your armor and protection.

An attempt to take a cub away from its mother is a request for an attack.

The Lord says He will cover us with His feathers and shelter us with His wings. This is full protection. To get the full picture of it, try having a glimpse of how great our God is: (For many have put a human - dead or alive - in their mind picture that they cannot see the Heavenly Father in glory. Wake up!)

Isaiah 40:22

God sits above the circle of the earth. 

The people below seem like grasshoppers to him! 

He spreads out the heavens like a curtain and makes his tent from them.

Do you see how great He is, then He promised to cover you and shelter you under His wings. What a great protection, what an unlimited care. That He who spreads the heaven like a curtain has you covered. Wow, who then can toil with you.

Listen again:

Isaiah 40:15

No, for all the nations of the world are but a drop in the bucket. 

They are nothing more than dust on the scales. 

He picks up the whole earth as though it were a grain of sand.

Glory, the discription of the one who has you covered should shake away every fear from you. No wonder David said:

Psalms 56:11

I trust in God, so why should I be afraid? 

What can mere mortals do to me?

Psalms 118:6

The Lord is for me, so I will have no fear. 

What can mere people do to me?

For humans can become instruments in the hand of the enemy, but they are powerless towards us who believe for our God is too great, all powerful and all encompassing they are insignificant in comparison to Him.

For His care towards us is so great, He says even if a sucking mother could forget her child, He will not forget us:

Isaiah 49:15

“Never! Can a mother forget her nursing child? 

Can she feel no love for the child she has borne? 

But even if that were possible, I would not forget you!

Look at these promises and get up from that despair, what have the doctors, the economy, people or even a spiritualist, a pastor, an imam or whoever told you that makes you want to give up. Throw all that away and hold on to His promises, listen for the Lord will speak, it is not over for you, it is just another beginning. The Lord that has you covered is too Big to fail.

Have you erred or lost your way, like a good mother the Lord said He will comfort you and being you back in line:

Isaiah 66:13

I will comfort you there in Jerusalem as a mother comforts her child.”

Trust Him, give Him praise this morning.

He calls us blessed.
