HOW DO YOU SEE THINGS?
2 Corinthians 5:16
So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know him now!
The interpretation of things, happenings and events are as a result of various factors. They include:
* what we have experienced;
* what we have been told; and
* eventually if we have the opportunity, we get to see what exactly is.
This is why we need the leading and direction of the Holy Spirit.
2Corinthians 5:16
Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer.
Some where opportuned to see Jesus physically as a person. They saw him as a man, son of a carpenter, a prophet some saw him as Elijah returned.
Only Peter at that time, had the privilege of knowing who exactly he was.
Matthew 16:16-17
And Simon Peter answered and said, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."
Jesus answered and said to him, "Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.
As we go on through life we come across people and each and everyone of them are for a particular purpose and they fulfil a particular role in our life.
David was blessed by the friendship of Jonathan. Saul was blessed with the presence of Samuel, Namman was blessed with the presence of the Jewish slave girl, etc.
We could become too conscious and expectant of a particular thing or goal and miss a lot of other things because we ignore those who are there to minister them.
The same way many after this life will say "I know who Jesus is", the question will be "What did you do with that knowledge?". For we will stand in judgement before him if we do not accept Him as Lord and Saviour!
John 5:22
"For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son,
As we go on this year may the Spirit of our God empower us to discover at each point in time, the essence and reason for people that come around us.
To see right,
to hear well and
to know with full understanding.
Above all:
2 Peter 3:18
Rather, you must grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. All glory to him, both now and forever! Amen.
For growth in the Father is growth in all areas of life.
That we will not be tossed here or there by every wind of doctrine or the lies that have infiltrated and characterise the secular church.
Ephesians 1:17-18
asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God.
I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance.
Believer, know God for yourself!
Help us Good Lord.
He calls us blessed.
