TELL YOURSELF THE TRUTH

John 8:32

And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

This is one of the greatest revelation Christ brought to man.

Why did Christ make this statement? The Jewish leaders at that time lived in denial, they had missed the way, they did not love God but they clung to the right to enjoy the privilege of the faithful ones. Christ put them in their place:

John 8:31-44

Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings.

And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

“But we are descendants of Abraham,” they said. “We have never been slaves to anyone. What do you mean, ‘You will be set free’?”

Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave of sin.

A slave is not a permanent member of the family, but a son is part of the family forever.

So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free.

Yes, I realize that you are descendants of Abraham. And yet some of you are trying to kill me because there’s no room in your hearts for my message.

I am telling you what I saw when I was with my Father. But you are following the advice of your father.”

“Our father is Abraham!” they declared.“No,” Jesus replied, “for if you were really the children of Abraham, you would follow his example.

Instead, you are trying to kill me because I told you the truth, which I heard from God. Abraham never did such a thing.

No, you are imitating your real father.”They replied, “We aren’t illegitimate children! God himself is our true Father.”

Jesus told them, “If God were your Father, you would love me, because I have come to you from God. I am not here on my own, but he sent me.

Why can’t you understand what I am saying? It’s because you can’t even hear me!

For you are the children of your father the devil, and you love to do the evil things he does. He was a murderer from the beginning. He has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies.

They have been living a lie, the called Abraham their father but lived contrary to the dictates or nature of the God of Abraham. So Christ told them bluntly - your father is the devil!

Shocking but it is true, If you live a lie, then the master of lies is your father.

Many today have never told themselves the truth, they are always defensive and true arguers, they are quick to judge others as bad or false but they have never sat back to analyse themselves to really see whether they are walking in the truth.

This have kept many stagnant for years, for until your know your truth you cannot be free in all areas of your life, even financially.

This is the problem of religion. You are given a false sense of security but many never experience the god/diety they claim they worship. Most of what they live by is what they have been told, it ought to go beyond that, you are to know the truth, that truth should set you free. What is your personal experience/relationship with the Heavenly Father?

John 17:3

And this is the way to have eternal life—to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth.

Some have tried to discredit the truth but: 

2 Corinthians 13:8

For we cannot oppose the truth, but must always stand for the truth.

Listen child of God, wait, are you a child of God? (John 1;12) - if you are then why are you living like a slave. Selah!

Now, apart from the salvation, which is only in Christ Jesus, what of the other truth in your life?

Have you examined yourself as you go year after year? Is your character improving or are you proud of those bad character and habits you carry about? Are you so quick to judge or backbite others yet you carry those disgusting habits, doing nothing about them. IT IS TIME TO TELL YOURSELF THE TRUTH. (It doesn't matter how long you have held on to it, receive your deliverance today)

Matthew 7:3,5

“And why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye when you have a log in your own?

Hypocrite! First get rid of the log in your own eye; then you will see well enough to deal with the speck in your friend’s eye.

Are you blaming someone/people for your situation or difficulty? Hello, the first person to blame is yourself. Get up analyze your mistakes, cry to the Lord then change them. Enough of the blame games - take responsibility!

It is time for truth, and the greatest truth is what we have in Christ Jesus.

Hello, no other person can claim this:

John 14:6

Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.

Tell yourself the truth, remember this, it is not about the multitude. Only Noah and his family were saved when the earth was flooded with water. Only Lot and his daughters were saved when Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed.

Wake up, stop living a lie.

It is not about God now, He has done what He has to do, it is about you, get out of the mirage, mediocrity and self denial. Accept the truth then set yourself free.

Jesus said, quoting the prophet:

Matthew 13:15-16

For the hearts of these people are hardened, and their ears cannot hear, and they have closed their eyes— so their eyes cannot see, 

and their ears cannot hear, and their hearts cannot understand, 

and they cannot turn to me and let me heal them.’

“But blessed are your eyes, because they see; and your ears, because they hear.

Know the truth to be free, know your truth to also set you free in all areas of your life. All areas!

So help us Good Lord.
