HIS PROMISES: OPEN YOUR EYES

Psalms 91:8

Just open your eyes, and see how the wicked are punished.

King David at one time thought that the wicked prospered why the good one's were allowed to suffer till his eyes were opened:

Psalms 73:11-14,16-19

“What does God know?” they ask.

“Does the Most High even know what’s happening?”

Look at these wicked people enjoying a life of ease while their riches multiply.

Did I keep my heart pure for nothing?

Did I keep myself innocent for no reason?

I get nothing but trouble all day long; every morning brings me pain.

So I tried to understand why the wicked prosper.

But what a difficult task it is!

Then I went into your sanctuary, O God, and I finally understood the destiny of the wicked.

Truly, you put them on a slippery path and send them sliding over the cliff to destruction.

In an instant they are destroyed, completely swept away by terrors.

It took him entering the sanctuary of the Lord to really see the condition of the wicked.

Until you encounter the Lord you may make the same err. Listen, evil come to the wicked they have no real joy here or in the time to come.

Wise Solomon understood this too:

Proverbs 1:15-16,18-19

My child, don’t go along with them!

Stay far away from their paths.

They rush to commit evil deeds.

They hurry to commit murder.

But these people set an ambush for themselves; they are trying to get themselves killed.

Such is the fate of all who are greedy for money; it robs them of life.

Take an example of leaders in most third world countries, they loot the common wealth yet they end up not spending even an insignificant fraction of it, most of them die off in sorrow, having blood on their hands. Yet, some still follow in the delusion and foolishness.

The truth is: Good follows the righteous and evil follows the unrighteous!

Psalms 1:6

For the Lord watches over the path of the godly, but the path of the wicked leads to destruction.

Some might still want to argue this, some even argue the entire bible, no wonder Christ explained:

John 3:3

Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God.”

You cannot be outside the faith and get a grip of what is inside. For without faith it is impossible to please God.

Then to enter you take the action:

John 3:5

Jesus replied, “I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit.

Many are where they are, uncertain, neither hot or cold, argumental, in disbelieve because their eyes are yet to be opened.

Then the issue of false or incomplete teachers of the gospel, money seekers, deceivers and different type of spiritual authorities are all a distraction that keep people blind, while religion and all description of sects stand as great distraction to many.

Christ explained this in His parable:

Matthew 13:24-30

Here is another story Jesus told: “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a farmer who planted good seed in his field.

But that night as the workers slept, his enemy came and planted weeds among the wheat, then slipped away.

When the crop began to grow and produce grain, the weeds also grew.

“The farmer’s workers went to him and said, ‘Sir, the field where you planted that good seed is full of weeds! Where did they come from?’

“‘An enemy has done this!’ the farmer exclaimed.“‘Should we pull out the weeds?’ they asked.

“‘No,’ he replied, ‘you’ll uproot the wheat if you do.

Let both grow together until the harvest. Then I will tell the harvesters to sort out the weeds, tie them into bundles, and burn them, and to put the wheat in the barn.’”

Is your eyes open? It is one of the reason Christ came:

John 9:39-41

Then Jesus told him, “I entered this world to render judgment—to give sight to the blind and to show those who think they see that they are blind.”

Some Pharisees who were standing nearby heard him and asked, “Are you saying we’re blind?”

“If you were blind, you wouldn’t be guilty,” Jesus replied. “But you remain guilty because you claim you can see.

May the Lord give us wisdom, may our eyes be opened to the right path. May we guide our children and dependants aright. May we carry the true gospel.

Psalms 23:6

Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever.

Help us Good Lord.

He calls us blessed.
