THANK YOU LORD (Psalm 116)

Psalms 116:12-14 What can I offer the Lord for all he has done for me? I will lift up the cup of salvation and praise the Lord's name for saving me. I will keep my promises to the Lord in the presence of all his people. How quickly we could forget what the Lord has done for us. We seek for this or that, then the Lord answers and does our request, how long do we celebrate His work before we begin to worry about something else. Do you know that it is a privilege to have access to the Heavenly Father? Psalms 116:1-2 I love the Lord because he hears my voice and my prayer for mercy. Because he bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath! Our salvation is a great privilege, we should make the most of it. Psalms 116:3-6 Death wrapped its ropes around me; the terrors of the grave overtook me. I saw only trouble and sorrow. Then I called on the name of the Lord: “Please, Lord, save me!” How kind the Lord is! How good he is! So merciful, this God of ours! T

FOOLISHNESS OF IDOLATRY, WE BLESS THE LORD (Psalm 115)

Psalms 115:18 But we can praise the Lord both now and forever! Praise the lord! It is foolishness to go after idols, for they are a mockery to man, they can't help themselves, how can they help you. For spirits and powers have less rights and authority on earth compared to man. Psalms 115:16 The heavens belong to the Lord, but he has given the earth to all humanity. So humans have the right to the earth. Thus it is shortchanging ones privilege by making allegiance to these powers. For the Father created and owns the earth and He has given it to us. Never forget that the enemy sells to you what you already own. He did it in the garden of eden, he has continued even after the fall of man. Genesis 3:4-7 “You won’t die!” the serpent replied to the woman. “God knows that your eyes will be opened as soon as you eat it, and you will be like God, knowing both good and evil.” The woman was convinced. She saw that the tree was beautiful and its fruit looked delicious, and sh

GREAT GOD - stay faithful (Psalm 114)

He showed Himself, yes, His great power when He led the Israelites out of Egypt. Psalms 114:1-8 When the Israelites escaped from Egypt, when the family of Jacob left that foreign land, the land of Judah became God’s sanctuary, and Israel became his kingdom. The Red Sea saw them coming and hurried out of their way! The water of the Jordan River turned away. The mountains skipped like rams, the hills like lambs! What’s wrong, Red Sea, that made you hurry out of their way? What happened, Jordan River, that you turned away? Why, mountains, did you skip like rams? Why, hills, like lambs? Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob. He turned the rock into a pool of water; yes, a spring of water flowed from solid rock. A summary of the great things God did in the sight of the Israelites. Yet we wonder why would they not believe, why would they have ever doubted? The truth was, their heart was somewhere else! For the Lord brought them o

THE ALMIGHTY GOD (Psalm 113)

Psalm 113:4 The LORD [is] high above all nations, [and] his glory above the heavens. Some see the Heavenly Father as "our Father who art in heaven", He is more than than that, He surpasses the heavens and the earth, for He created both. Psalms 113:5-6 Who can be compared with the Lord our God, who is enthroned on high? He stoops to look down on heaven and on earth. He humbles Himself to look down on heaven and earth for they are beneath Him. Glory! Isaiah 66:1 Thus saith the LORD, The heaven [is] my throne, and the earth [is] my footstool: where [is] the house that ye build unto me? and where [is] the place of my rest? How laughable when man takes himself so highly than he is, a mere created being. For it is in God that we amount to anything. He is so great, everlasting, immortality, the I AM. Limited by nothing, knows no boundary, unmoved by time, the creator of all things. If only we know His greatness. Only one could declare Him, only one could reveal Him

TWO SIDES - beware of false christ (Psalm 112)

Psalm 112:1 Praise ye the LORD. Blessed [is] the man [that] feareth the LORD, [that] delighteth greatly in his commandments. The whole scriptures from the very begining talk of separation it all began with the separation of light from darkness. Genesis 1:4 And God saw the light, that [it was] good: and God divided the light from the darkness. Furthermore we had water from land, waters above the earth versus water below the earth. From the time man fell we had a separation, from the one who did good and the one who chose evil, Abel and Cain. Thus it continued through times, the reign of Israel, the kings, the prophets, till the revelation of Christ when all things were changed. When Christ lived physically with us most of His parables were about separation. The wheat from the tares, sheep from goats, faithful servant to unfaithful servants etc. For where you see a fake, there must have been an original. Matthew 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep&#

WE LIVE IN OBEDIENCE TO THE GOD OF LOVE (Psalm 111)

Psalm 111:9 He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend [is] his name. God's love for us has been expressed through the pages of scriptures, in this Psalms the prophesy of His redemption was revealed. Psalms 111:9 (NLT) He has paid a full ransom for his people. He has guaranteed his covenant with them forever. What a holy, awe-inspiring name he has! This is why Christ came. Luke 24:7 Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again. Yes, what a loving Father. He expects us to live this life in obedience. He has bought us back with the highest price payable, it is thus for us to live in obedience. He has made all things, as we see them we give Him praise. Some things will come to take its place wanting to bring us down, but we will remain faithful to our author yes our redeemer all He has made evident around us reminds us that He is in control. Psalm

RETURNING AS A KING (Psalm 110)

Psalm 110:1 The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. Mark 12:36 For David himself said by the Holy Ghost, The LORD said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool. Yes, so much of Christ is revealed in the Psalms. We see Christ come as the Messiah, that every human can have the right to be called the son of God. He was crushed, beaten, bruised, stripped, scourged, nailed and eventually pierced with a spear. All these He did to pay for our ransom. However, He ascended and just as David prophesied and He Himself quoted, He sits at the right hand of the Heavenly Father. Waiting for the completion of time when all things are completely brought under His feet. Mark 14:61-62 But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed? And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right h

THE WICKED ARE PUNISHED (Psalm 109)

Psalms 109:28 Then let them curse me if they like, but you will bless me! When they attack me, they will be disgraced! But I, your servant, will go right on rejoicing! Have you ever been hurt, betrayed or persecuted for no reason? Have you felt hurt that goes deep into your soul? Hurt that makes you yearn for revenge. That you even wish for more than death for that adversary. Then you will understand what David is talking about in Psalm 109. However if you have come to the Heavenly Father in Christ Jesus you cannot afford to harbour those feelings, you must let it go. We are taught to love and forgive. Never to curse but to bless. This is actually more for our good. Matthew 5:44-45 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth

ON THE RIGHT SIDE (Psalm 108)

Psalms 108:1 My heart is confident in you, O God; no wonder I can sing your praises with all my heart! Stay on the right side. Where the praise of the Father is. The separation has been there: Psalms 108:7-9 God has promised this by his holiness: “I will divide up Shechem with joy. I will measure out the valley of Succoth. Gilead is mine, and Manasseh, too. Ephraim, my helmet, will produce my warriors, and Judah, my scepter, will produce my kings. But Moab, my washbasin, will become my servant, and I will wipe my feet on Edom and shout in triumph over Philistia.” Some unto honour, others to dishonour. Some as sheep, others as goats. Some to the right others to the left. Some may say, do we have a choice, are we not destined so? We do have a choice, we make the decision on what side we want to be. The key word is "OBEDIENCE". The enemy's desire is for us to be on the wrong side for that is where he is. However when we run to God we have victory for He giv

GOD IS GOOD, I WILL LET EVERYONE KNOW (Psalm 107)

Psalm 107:15-16 Oh that [men] would praise the LORD [for] his goodness, and [for] his wonderful works to the children of men! For he hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder. We must speak of the Lord's goodness, what great things He has done for us. If we only know how great our redemption is, WE WE WILL SHOUT OUT TO THE WORLD. Psalm 107:2 Let the redeemed of the LORD say [so], whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy; When people experience you, they should experience the Heavenly Father, you should be a reflection of His Son. An evidence of His goodness. Halleluyah. For even when one errs, yes there is a rightful punishment but the Lord is merciful He will hear your cry of repentance and He will show mercy and restore you, even to a  better place. Did it result to an ailment? He sent His Word to heal. Oh what a loving Father: Psalms 107:17-21 Some were fools; they rebelled and suffered for their sins. They couldn’t stand the thoug

BE CONSISTENT (Psalm 106)

Psalm 106:3 Blessed [are] they that keep judgment, [and] he that doeth righteousness at all times. Whenever we look at the error of the children of Israel after all they experienced with the Heavenly Father, we wonder at their unbelief and inconsistency. It did not take much for them to rebel and betray their faithfulness to God. Psalm 106:21-22 They forgat God their saviour, which had done great things in Egypt; Wondrous works in the land of Ham, [and] terrible things by the Red sea. After seeing so many miracles and exploits they dared to still seek after idols: Psalm 106:19-20 They made a calf in Horeb, and worshipped the molten image. Thus they changed their glory into the similitude of an ox that eateth grass. It was so bad at the time of Moses that God wanted to wipe the out: Psalm 106:23 Therefore he said that he would destroy them, had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, lest he should destroy [them]. God's mercy

REMINISCE (Psalm 105)

Psalm 105:2 Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works. This Psalm is a narration of God's victory and deliverance for Israel, His righteous judgment. Psalm 105:5 Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth; All the wondrous things the Lord has done for us is NOT for us to live in sin and become carefree, He is faithful that we also be faithful. Psalm 105:4 Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore. We reminisce that we do not forget what the Lord has done for us, we give Him thanks and take full advantage. He preserves us for good works, not for wickedness. To do His will and not to walk carelessly. Psalm 105:14-15 He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes; [Saying], Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm. God remembered His promise to Abraham, He kept His own end of the bargain. What was expected of the people of Israel? Ps

DO YOU KNOW THE MAJESTY? (Psalm 104)

Psalm 104:24 O LORD, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches. How great our Heavenly Father is, this Psalm lists so much of His splendor. His power and manifestation on the earth and beyond. The creatures that occupy the air, those that occupy the lands and those that occupy the sea. They all reflect the glory of the creator. Even we humans, He also made us to inhabit the lands. We are a reflection of the Father's glory. Psalms 104:4-6,10-12,14,18-19,25,30 The winds are your messengers; flames of fire are your servants. You placed the world on its foundation so it would never be moved. You clothed the earth with floods of water, water that covered even the mountains. You make springs pour water into the ravines, so streams gush down from the mountains. They provide water for all the animals, and the wild donkeys quench their thirst. The birds nest beside the streams and sing among the branches of the trees. You ca

HE OWNS THE PRAISE (Psalm 103)

Psalm 103:1-2 Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, [bless] his holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: When things seem to overwhelm us, when we see a challenge here or there, when we feel we are faced with a battle or depression dares to stare, it is good to sit back and remember what the Lord has done for us. Psalms 103:3-5 He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases. He redeems me from death and crowns me with love and tender mercies. He fills my life with good things. My youth is renewed like the eagle’s! Sin has been the great setback for man after the fall, in taking this away from us, total liberty was ensured. Why will we, not bless the Lord. Many still ignorantly, foolishly or by intimidation allow sin to reign over them. So called religious leaders keep them in bondage of their sin, some even make money out of them. Placing themselves as the advocate of their sin. All a gimmick for: 1John 2:12, 1:7 I write

BORN AGAIN, A PEOPLE OF PRAISE (Psalm 102)

Psalm 102:18 This shall be written for the generation to come: and the people which shall be created shall praise the LORD. We speak of the new birth, yes, for man groaned in pain, just like the children of Israel groaned in Egypt, where they were in bondage: Psalms 102:1-2,8-9 Lord, hear my prayer! Listen to my plea! Don’t turn away from me in my time of distress. Bend down to listen, and answer me quickly when I call to you. My enemies taunt me day after day. They mock and curse me. I eat ashes for food. My tears run down into my drink The whole earth needed redemption, man needed to be set free. Psalms 102:19-20 Tell them the Lord looked down from his heavenly sanctuary. He looked down to earth from heaven to hear the groans of the prisoners, to release those condemned to die. And He did act! Luke 4:18-19 The Spirit of the Lord [is] upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach delivera

WHEN YOU ARE TRUSTED WITH AUTHORITY (Psalm 101)

Psalm 101:6 Mine eyes [shall be] upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me. When in the position of authority, what will be your testimony, will you bring glory to God or would you make a mess of the privilege? Let us see these two testimonies: 1 Kings 15:9-11 Asa began to rule over Judah in the twentieth year of Jeroboam’s reign in Israel. Asa did what was pleasing in the Lord's sight, as his ancestor David had done. compared to, 1 Kings 16:23,25 Omri began to rule over Israel in the thirty-first year of King Asa’s reign in Judah. He reigned twelve years in all, six of them in Tirzah. But Omri did what was evil in the Lord's sight, even more than any of the kings before him. This was how the reign of kings in Israel and Judah were recorded. Some walked in righteousness others decided to walk in wickedness. What is your testimony? See David's testimony in this Psalm. This was his resolu

WORSHIP OUR MAKER (Psalm 100)

Psalm 100:3 Know ye that the LORD he [is] God: [it is] he [that] hath made us, and not we ourselves; [we are] his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Seems like sometimes we forget who the Heavenly Father is to us. We could get carried away with all the activities, troubles, blessings and noise of the world that we forget who really matters. Psalm 100 reminds us that we must worship our maker, the author of our existence. Psalms 100:1-2 Shout with joy to the lord, all the earth! Worship the Lord with gladness. Come before Him, singing with joy. One beautiful thing about the coming of the Messiah is our freedom from restrictions, we are no longer barred from the Heavenly Father but we can come and receive grace, we can freely worship. Hebrews 4:16  Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. What do we come with? Psalm 100:4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, [and] into his courts with

FREE WORSHIP (Psalm 99)

Psalms 99:1-2 The lord is king! Let the nations tremble! He sits on his throne between the cherubim. Let the whole earth quake! The lord sits in majesty in Jerusalem, exalted above all the nations. Away from the monumental places, from sites, temples and buildings, the Lord in His Spirit shows us who He is. That He is Spirit and all who worship Him most worship Him thus. Yes, away from the place or site, the Lord's presence is there when we call upon Him in the name of His Son Jesus the Christ. Matthew 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. Halleluyah, so I do not need to travel far, climb up a mountain, go down a valley, to be in the presence of the Lord. Psalm 99:5 Exalt ye the LORD our God, and worship at his footstool; [for] he [is] holy. And where is His footstool? Isaiah 66:1. Thus saith the LORD, The heaven [is] my throne, and the earth [is] my footstool: where [is] the house that ye build unto me?

REMEMBER THE LORD'S SALVATION (Psalm 98)

Psalm 98:1 O sing unto the LORD a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory. Everytime we read of God's salvation from the scriptures we have reason to rejoice. That the Heavenly Father would take us as so important, is something the enemy marvels at, yet can do nothing about it. For even to those who never sought Him, His salvation is yet revealed to, even those who will reject Him. Psalm 98:2 The LORD hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen. Man fell, failed the test of being faithful in obedience, for in not being able to trust God and His plan for man, he fell for another who had no good intention for him. John 10:10 The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life. Up till today many make the mistake, for in trying to resist God, they assume they have become of their own, however m

ONLY ONE SUPREME LORD, HIS OWN WALK IN RIGHTEOUSNESS (Psalm 97)

Psalms 97:10 You who love the lord, hate evil! He protects the lives of his godly people and rescues them from the power of the wicked. Yes, we say again the Heavenly Father is the Greatest, all other deities are idols, for there is only one Supreme God. His own walk in righteousness, for you cannot say you love the Lord and then hate your fellow being for no cause. 1John 3:10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother. The Heavenly Father is the Mighty one who dwells in unapproachable light, dark clouds surrounds Him, woe unto Him who does not fear and reverence Him. For even when other powers saw Christ they cried out for they know where the real power is. Psalms 97:1-6 The lord is king! Let the earth rejoice! Let the farthest coastlands be glad. Dark clouds surround him.  Righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne. Fire spreads ahead of

GREATEST (Psalm 96)

Psalms 96:4 Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise! He is to be feared above all gods. Man has from the fall always been dependent on a higher being. The dying body knows that it cannot sustain itself, and the breathed soul desires its immortality. An idol in one definition is: A graven image or representation of anything that is revered, or believed to convey spiritual power. Yes they do exist, powers and forces who control various places, furthermore are fallen angels, and offspring of powers they try to control and influence different parts of the earth. However what does this Psalm say about them? Psalms 96:5 The gods of other nations are mere idols, but the Lord made the heavens! There is only one supreme being, the Heavenly Father Himself. Who revealed Himself to Abraham down the line to Moses and continued through Israel to reach the whole world. He is above every idol, whatever name or position they try to give it. Krishna, Allah, Buddah, Zeus, Brahma,

WE PRAISE, WE DO NOT HARDEN (Psalm 95)

Psalm 95:1 O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. We understand that: 2Timothy 3:16&17 All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. Thus the study of the compilation of Psalms, we learn from the walk of men, prophets and kings of old with God, their mistakes, their exploits and God's revelations through them. For the revelations to them was not just for their time but for times to come. This is why what we have as the new testament today is the revelation of what God revealed to the men and prophets of old. We see the Messiah, Jesus the Christ and His disciples who wrote, quoting from these scriptures. Selah. In Psalm 95, we see praise given to whom it is deserved, the Heavenly Father: Psalms 95:3-6 For the lord is a great God, a great

GOD OF VENGEANCE (Psalm 94)

Psalm 94:1 O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself. Deuteronomy 32:35a To me [belongeth] vengeance, and recompence; Through scriptures, God has shown and said, that He has the exclusive right of vengeance. We are to leave that to Him. We very well should, knowing that no authority or power is higher than Him. Yes recompense for the wicked, THIS IS CERTAIN yes, however what of those who claim to be His but live the life of wickedness? That is worth looking into: 2Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. Psalms 94:4-7 How long will they speak with arrogance? How long will these evil people boast? They crush your people, Lord, hurting those you claim as your own. They kill widows and foreigners and murder orphans. “The Lord isn’t looking,” they say, “and besides, the God of Isra

GOD IS MORE THAN. . . (Psalm 93)

Psalm 93:2 Thy throne [is] established of old: thou [art] from everlasting. Psalms 93:2(NLT) Your throne, O Lord, has stood from time immemorial. You yourself are from the everlasting past. This is one of those Psalms that has no record of title nor author. However it speaks of God's awesomeness and majesty. Psalms 93:1 The Lord is king! He is robed in majesty. Indeed, the Lord is robed in majesty and armed with strength. The world stands firm and cannot be shaken. Contrary to what some teach, the Lord very much has the earth under control. (Psalm 93:1b, Psalm 24:1, Daniel 4:17) This Psalm reminds us that no matter the storm, the Lord is bigger than it: Psalms 93:3-4 The floods have risen up, O Lord. The floods have roared like thunder; the floods have lifted their pounding waves. But mightier than the violent raging of the seas, mightier than the breakers on the shore — the Lord above is mightier than these! Don't honour that trouble, don't give that pro

PRAISE TO GOD (Psalm 92)

Psalm 92:1 [It is a] good [thing] to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High: Philippians 1:11 Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God. Every righteous one should give praise to our Heavenly Father, for the Lord knows those who are His and He blesses them. Yes the Lord has good plans for those who choose His way, that is, the path of righteousness. We are blessed in this life and in the life to come. Psalm 92:12 The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those who rebel, yes, those who choose the path of wickedness are described as grass that withers away: Psalm 92:7 When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; [it is] that they shall be destroyed for ever: This truth rings through all scriptures. Knowing this, we the righteous remain in righteousness, giving praise to the Father. Si

HE HAS US COVERED (Psalm 91)

Psalm 91:1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. Where better to run for safety than under the cover of the overall leader. For when you are under the cover of the Most High, no other power has a say in your life. Job 1:10 You have always put a wall of protection around him and his home and his property. You have made him prosper in everything he does. Look how rich he is! When anyone comes to Christ, they automatically come into the secret place of the Most High, their names are written in the book of life and nothings takes place in their lives without God's permission or theirs. Colossians 3:3 For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God. Thus when we read this Psalm we proclaim that which the Heavenly Father has brought to us. Psalms 91:2-5 This I declare about the lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him. For he will rescue you fro

NUMBERING OUR DAYS (Psalm 90)

Psalms 90:1-2 Lord, through all the generations you have been our home! Before the mountains were born, before you gave birth to the earth and the world, from beginning to end, you are God. Most scholars attribute this Psalm to Moses. A prayer for God's mercy on His people, that they had suffered enough, for God to restore them. When we read through, we see Moses acknowledging God for who He is. The one who existed before anything was formed, for indeed, He formed them. Though man was formed from dust, but life in us was as of God's breath. So we ". . . lived in God. . ." even before we were born. Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. So Moses talked about God casting us off as dust: Psalms 90:3 You turn people back to dust, saying, “Return to dust, you mortals!” For even with those who lived in earlier times, who lived close to a thousand

OUT OF DAVID (Psalm 89)

Psalm 89:1 I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations. God's covenants are faithful to all generations. Yes for even when those who were to inherit errs, He still keeps His promises. What they at those times did not know was that it expanded more than what they imagined. Psalm 89:3-4 I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant, Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. Selah. It is not as if the teachers of the law then did not know, but they had the wrong expectation and a carnal view of the revelation of the son of David. Furthermore, they wanted to keep their exalted positions. For many including the blind recognized Jesus as the son of David: Matthew 20:31 And the multitude rebuked them, because they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, [thou] Son of David. Yes, Christ Jesus w
