RETURNING AS A KING (Psalm 110)
Psalm 110:1
The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.
Mark 12:36
For David himself said by the Holy Ghost, The LORD said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool.
Yes, so much of Christ is revealed in the Psalms. We see Christ come as the Messiah, that every human can have the right to be called the son of God. He was crushed, beaten, bruised, stripped, scourged, nailed and eventually pierced with a spear. All these He did to pay for our ransom.
However, He ascended and just as David prophesied and He Himself quoted, He sits at the right hand of the Heavenly Father. Waiting for the completion of time when all things are completely brought under His feet.
Mark 14:61-62
But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?
And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
When He returns, it will not be in humility and gentility as when He came as the Messiah. It will be time for war and judgment.
Psalm 110:2
The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.
Those who rejected Him will regret and suffer but those who received Him, yes those who worked in obedience will have full victory at last.
Those who have left before He returns and those who are still here that have believed in Him, will all be awake with joy. For the sorrows, pains, persecution and endurance is over. Time for everlasting joy and pleasure in the presence of the Loving Father.
What glory, what victory, what a consolation.
The question then is what do we do?
Colossians 3:1
If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
Never forget the home you are to return to. There is too much to sacrifice for. What can you give in exchange for eternity with Him? Nothing, yes nothing is worth to sacrifice for our eternal rest with Him. Let us fix our mind above.
No matter how things go around here, we must never forget what matters, who matter and where it matters.
1 Peter 1:4-6
To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,
Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:
Glory to God, we are His friends and not enemies, woe unto those who are His enemies when He returns.
The Lord will keep us. We will remain faithful.
He calls us blessed.
