BE CONSISTENT (Psalm 106)

Psalm 106:3
Blessed [are] they that keep judgment, [and] he that doeth righteousness at all times.

Whenever we look at the error of the children of Israel after all they experienced with the Heavenly Father, we wonder at their unbelief and inconsistency. It did not take much for them to rebel and betray their faithfulness to God.

Psalm 106:21-22
They forgat God their saviour, which had done great things in Egypt;
Wondrous works in the land of Ham, [and] terrible things by the Red sea.

After seeing so many miracles and exploits they dared to still seek after idols:

Psalm 106:19-20
They made a calf in Horeb, and worshipped the molten image.
Thus they changed their glory into the similitude of an ox that eateth grass.

It was so bad at the time of Moses that God wanted to wipe the out:

Psalm 106:23
Therefore he said that he would destroy them, had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, lest he should destroy [them].

God's mercy was revealed, however after a while they returned to evil again.

The Lord had to send them into exile, strange kings ruled over them.

When we consider all these, what we should ask is, are we making the same mistakes? Are we NOT doing the same thing?

Our faithfulness should not be with condition, situations should not determine our disposition. No we should remain resolute, we Should be consistent.

The Lord has saved us, we should not enter into bondage again.

Psalm 106:47
Save us, O LORD our God, and gather us from among the heathen, to give thanks unto thy holy name, [and] to triumph in thy praise.

We must give Him the honour He deserves.

Psalm 106:48
Blessed [be] the LORD God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting: and let all the people say, Amen. Praise ye the LORD.

He calls us faithful, He calls us blessed. Halleluyah.

Love
