DIFFERENT PHASES BUT STILL ONE

John 17:21a I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one 1Corinthians 4:7 For who made you better than your brother? or what have you that has not been given to you? but if it has been given to you, what cause have you for pride, as if it had not been given to you? Why do we have issues and problems in the groups, committees, churches and communities. It arises when we do not understand that "we are not all in the same phase". Everyone goes through a phase, from one to the other and of course it is not always of the same degree with another. Ephesians 4:2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; There are: * the freshers - those who just began the journey * the children - those who are in the early stage of growth, though this is not a matter of how long, many may have been there a while, yet grow at a very slow pace. * the youths - these are moving from childhood to adulthood * the matured - these have grown and have

LET US WORSHIP

John 4:23  "But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. How do we worship the Heavenly Father? It is through His Son Jesus the Christ, Who is the Word. John 1:18  No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.  The Heavenly Father is glorified in His Son. For the Son came out of the Father and was in the Father's glory. John 17:1-5 After saying all these things, Jesus looked up to heaven and said, “Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son so he can give glory back to you. For you have given him authority over everyone. He gives eternal life to each one you have given him. And this is the way to have eternal life—to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth. I brought glory to you here on earth by completing the work you gave me to do. Now, Father, bring me into the glory w

ESCAPE

2 Peter 1:4 And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and ESCAPE the world’s corruption caused by human desires. In our journey here on earth, we will of course encounter various challenges, temptations and trials which are meant to test us, bring us down or prove us. Paul teaches us that the Lord always has a way of escape for us: 1 Corinthians 10:13 The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure. No wonder we call Him the "WAY MAKER". The greatest escape was from the power of sin and death, which price Christ paid for by giving His life, this is the most important escape route that we should announce to the whole world. Then Jesus said: John 16:33 I have told you all this so that you

DON'T STOP WORKING

Proverbs 21:5 The plans of the diligent lead surely to plenty, but those of everyone who is hasty, surely to poverty. When this year began many had a lot of expectations. Some went from one programme to another seeking for one blessing or the other. There would have been a lot of promises. This is the second month almost coming to the end, I ask "how far?" The truth is that at the end of the year, depending on what one is expecting, some may get it, yet some may not. Truly there are things in our hands however, utimately all things are in the hands of the Heavenly Father, one thing though, He has released them to us. Selah Take this country for instance, many have this mentality that one would just make it, that is "a tree just appears out of thin air". No, there is always a planting, a nurturing, then a full growth. We should remember that if: *  It is work, we should expect to spend energy * It is a journey, we should expect it to take some time. * it is a trainin

THOSE LITTLE THINGS

This beautiful day let us remind ourselves NOT to neglect those little things that make up the whole. Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy--meditate on these things. The things that matter in this life are a collection of little things we do that really do matter. Putting them all together builds up the glorious work we have or the great person we become. A great rock can be brought down by continually chopping off small pieces. Same way a great house is built by adding on little bricks. Let us not drop those "little things" * discipline * good routines * prayers * efforts * readings * prayers * study of the word * worship * show of love * encouragement * planning * investments * sowing/planting * advice * counselling * givings * teaching * tongues * p

RESET

John 3:9 “How are these things possible?” Nicodemus asked. It is time to reset. One of the major stumbling blocks to man's relationship with the Heavenly Father is the flesh. The human body is that pathway that gives man the right to live on earth. It connects the spirit to the soul and is the recepient of what ever comes from the outside. So man has a body and also a spirit. Both will leave man, however, the Spirit is God in man while the soul is man himself. The body is the container, having all the communication mechanism. So, understanding these basics will make us understand the corruption of the flesh, that made man die, when he walked in disobedience. Thus every flesh must die. Genesis 3:19b For you were made from dust, and to dust you will return.” Knowing this, it is therefore Not wisdom to work by mere feelings. Truly this is what has driven many away from the Heavenly Father and blocked them from fulfilling purpose. All those who walked with God in scriptures did not wal

ANOTHER GOOD DAY

How has the year been? Has it been all smooth, has there been rough tides sometimes or has it all been a battle? If it is the earlier, give Him thanks. If it is the latter, don't let it get to you, you should be able to give God thanks because you: * have people around you; * can read this: * you can speak; * you can eat; * have a job to do; * have an appetite; * can sleep; * can think (even worry); * are relevant; * have a target to meet; * have desires and aspirations ABOVE ALL - YOU ARE ALIVE! If you can tick any of these as yes, then give thanks for you are blessed. Listen many seek for these things that seem so simple and have not found it. You have every reason to thank God. For you only think your challenge is so big till you hear that of another. The world is full of it's ups and downs, many know how to hide their pains, while some are living a lie. We need a life that is higher than here and that is the life Christ gave to us. The life gives meaning to

HE STILL HEALS

Matthew 8:1-3 Large crowds followed Jesus as he came down the mountainside. Suddenly, a man with leprosy approached him and knelt before him. “Lord,” the man said, “if you are willing, you can heal me and make me clean.” Jesus reached out and touched him. “I am willing,” he said. “Be healed!” And instantly the leprosy disappeared. Some have lost faith in the healing power of Christ in this generation, owing to many reasons, one of them being the false claims of some and the staging of miracles we see on our media. One thing we must be clear about is that spiritual things are not about our mere feelings. For believe goes beyond a feeling or emotion. It is a conviction. Some sects have even gone as far as saying that healings and miracles ended with the first apostles. This is definitely NOT true. All believers at one time or another have experienced the healing hand of God consciously or unconsciously, it is conscious at the times when we are aware of the symptoms or have been diagnosed

DON'T FORGET HIM

Jeremiah 12:2 You have planted them, and they have taken root and prospered.  Your name is on their lips, but you are far from their hearts. It seems that it is the nations that are going through troubles that remember that they have to serve God. Those who began with God during their times of struggles and slavery have begun to forget Him when things have become properous. They have adopted strange religions and practices, they have used their liberty as a licence for abominations. The answers to our prayers, the removal of our thorn and the prosperity of our land/harvest is not to take us away from the Lord but to bring us closer to Him. James 1:17 Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow. So be careful what you preach or hear, for the Lord did not bring you salvation just because of the goodies on the earth. The goodies are for everyone who lives on this earth.

HE CANNOT BE IGNORED

Psalms 67:1-7 May God be merciful and bless us. May his face smile with favor on us.Interlude May your ways be known throughout the earth, your saving power among people everywhere. May the nations praise you, O God. Yes, may all the nations praise you. Let the whole world sing for joy, because you govern the nations with justice and guide the people of the whole world. May the nations praise you, O God. Yes, may all the nations praise you. Then the earth will yield its harvests, and God, our God, will richly bless us. Yes, God will bless us, and people all over the world will fear him. If you believe the creation story and the creator Himself you will understand that no matter how much the world tries they cannot do without Him. For even before He was revealed to the whole world by His Son, the Heavenly Father was displayed to the world through His people at their time of faithfulness. 2 Chronicles 20:29 When all the surrounding kingdoms heard that the Lord Himself had fought against

DON'T FALL FOR THE LIE

Proverbs 20:17 Bread of deceit [is] sweet to a man; but afterwards his mouth shall be filled with gravel. THERE IS A TRUTH, we must all remember and teach those under us continually, that truth is: *"IT IS A LIE!" The urge may seem so much that if you don't do it, have it or be it you will die. It is all a lie, a mirage, a false sense of the flesh. It is this lie that has caused the havoc of sin in our society and communities today. That thing, person, or status we long so much for or/and feel we just have to get may not really be it when we eventually get it. THE SAME GAME PLAYS OUT, AGAIN AND AGAIN! 2 Samuel 13:14 Howbeit he would not hearken unto her voice: but, being stronger than she, forced her, and lay with her.  Then Amnon hated her exceedingly; so that the hatred wherewith he hated her [was] greater than the love wherewith he had loved her. And Amnon said unto her, Arise, be gone. James 1:14&15 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his

FOLLOW THE LORD

Isaiah 51:1&3 Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the LORD: look unto the rock [whence] ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit [whence] ye are digged.  For the LORD shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody. If only those who God had called deemed it fit to put their trust in the Lord. They were chosen to be the carrier of the good news to the ends of the earth. Christ was to be revealed from their nation but just like king Saul they were carried away by man. 1Samuel 13:14 But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the LORD hath sought him a man after his own heart, and the LORD hath commanded him [to be] captain over his people, because thou hast not kept [that] which the LORD commanded thee. The same is the situation of some who claim to believe today. Most of our rebellion a

GOD OUR HELP

Psalms 121:1-2,8 I look up to the mountains— does my help come from there? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth! The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever. Until you have ever been disappointed by someone, relations, friends, people,  organizations, your community/country you will not understand what it means to trust. It is normal for we as humans to rely on one another for one thing or the other, however we are still humans, we are fallible! One man who understood this was David, he knew that His trust was in the Lord. He was a man he could be afraid. However he put his trust in the Lord, he stayed in prayer. Psalm 56:3 What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. Do we notice that David understood how important our prayers are to God? He knew God took record of them and that none of our tears as believers is wasted He stores them in His bottles. Psalms 56:8 You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle

SATIABLE, WE PRAISE

Psalms 136:26 Give thanks to the God of heaven. His faithful love endures forever. Psalms 116:12-14 What can I offer the Lord for all he has done for me? I will lift up the cup of salvation and praise the Lord's name for saving me. I will keep my promises to the Lord in the presence of all his people. Could we call man insatiable? Do we just keep asking and asking without giving thanks? I believe it is because man forgets. How quickly we could forget what the Lord has done for us. We seek for this or that, then the Lord answers and does our request, how long do we celebrate His work before we begin to worry about something else. We must always remember that it is a privilege to have access to the Heavenly Father? Psalms 116:1-2 I love the Lord because he hears my voice and my prayer for mercy. Because he bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath! Our creation and our salvation is a great privilege, we should make the most of it. Psalms 116:3-6 Death wrapped its rope

YOU CAN ALWAYS START AGAIN

2 Corinthians 4:16 That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. Our learning, planning, implementation and review is a continuous cycle, we do not stay stagnant, or rigid if things are not working right or when it is time to move to the next level. Maturity takes a process, so does every type of growth. You may make mistakes, times may change, the environment may evolve but your growth must be consistent. Many a great thing we could achieve, many accomplishment we miss just because we feel it is too late. No, the time you awake is your morning, get going! Do you know that your greatness is tied to tough decisions you have to make. Thus, the fact that it delayed to come to you does not mean you have a total denial, begin from your point of revelation. Proverbs 16:9 A man's heart plans his way, but the LORD directs his steps. That idea, that great revelation came to you because you have a part to play to bring

WARN THE YOUTHS

Proverbs 13:11(NLT) Wealth from get-rich-quick schemes quickly disappears; wealth from hard work grows over time. There is an evil trend going on in the land, the young ones are seeking for the "hot money", the instant wealth that comes with disaster. It is time that the church speaks up, what are the GOs, Pastors, Elders etc doing? These young ones are also in the church! (DO YOU KNOW THE HEART OF YOUR CHILD/WARD?) Many of us do desire that things fit into place without going through the cycle. Our belief system could make us believe that instant success, a sudden rise in status would occur in a flash. We want to become that great person without the necessary path. We have seen videos of youths spraying money on a minister in a supposed church service. The teaching of the adulterated prosperity gospel and the fake promises are not helping matters! Of course God doesn't work that way. There is a need to differentiate between sudden intervention of God when a crise

WHEN A BELIEVER REPENTS

Hebrews 12:1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. Isaiah 52:2 Shake thyself from the dust; arise, [and] sit down, O Jerusalem: loose thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion. 2 Corinthians 7:10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death. The believer does not live a carefree life, instead the believer lives a worry-free life. There is always the need to stay in line, improve and increase in the knowledge of our Maker. One of the most important way to do this is by constant meditation on the word. One powerful thing about the word of God is that it sets us straight, helps us see from God's perspective. That is why the Psalm quoted the word as light and salvation: Psalm 27:1a The LOR

NEED FOR ORDER!

1 Corinthians 14:40 But be sure that everything is done properly and in order. 1 Corinthians 13:1-2 If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing. There is a new surge now "the megaphone competition", in every street and corner very early in the morning, on work times when people ought to be busy being productive and also in the peak of the day. What is being announced "give your life to Christ", "amend your ways", "hell is real" etc. Does this imply that the second coming is near, so near as today or this week, this month or this year? Matthew 24:14 And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it

ALWAYS GOOD

Romans 12:17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. One thing we cannot avoid as we go on with our journey on earth is our relationship with others. There are relationships we can't choose, while there are those we create ourselves: We cannot chose: * who our parents are * who our siblings are * who our colleagues are * who drives adjacent us or who sits close to us in a commercial vehicle. The list extends. . . There is a limit to how much we can narrow down our choices to have the right people around us. However, we can choose who our friends are, which of our relations to keep close and maybe the neighborhood we stay, yet this still is a function of other things. Remember those who got betrayed, were actually betrayed by those they have come to trust. Selah! In all, we cannot but deal with other humans, we need them and they need us too. However offense will come and that in varying degrees. The Lord expects us not to take it

DO YOU HAVE A GOOD TESTIMONY?

Romans 1:8 First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world. What is our testimony? Who do people say that we are? Does it really matter? Luke 9:18 And it came to pass, as he was alone praying, his disciples were with him: and he asked them, saying, Whom say the people that I am? Of course we could have misconceptions, people could label us wrongly due to ignorance, envy or mere maliciousness. What we should be interested in is our fruits, for Christ said: Matthew 7:20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. And more testimonies: Ephesians 1:15 Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints, Colossians 1:4 Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love [which ye have] to all the saints, 1Thessalonians 1:8 For from you sounded out the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith to God-ward is spread abroad; so that w

WHO HE MADE US TO BE

Romans 1:4-6 and he was shown to be the Son of God when he was raised from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit. He is Jesus Christ our Lord. Through Christ, God has given us the privilege and authority as apostles to tell Gentiles everywhere what God has done for them, so that they will believe and obey him, bringing glory to his name. And you are included among those Gentiles who have been called to belong to Jesus Christ. What a great privilege! If only we remember what great calling we have. If only we know what privileged adoption we have. If only we know how great was the sacrifice If only we know the extent of love. If only we know how much is there to loose or gain. WE WILL RE-LIVE OUR LIVES! How do you feel being maltreated by someone less than you. Christ was maltreated by the very humans He created yet He held His peace, all because He wanted to save the same humans. Hebrews 2:3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began t

STUDY THE WORD

2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work. Study of the word cannot be overemphasized, for all the believers' activities emanates and is regulated by the word. One way to get into trouble and totally miss ones way in our journey with God through this earth is when we derail from the word. Psalms 119:11 I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you. We are to study day and night, understanding by meditation what the Lord is saying, knowing His will, being  empowered, then teaching others. Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and t

HEART OF THANKSGIVING

1Thessalonians 5:18  "in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." One thing we must ask ourselves as we end each day is "Have I given thanks today?" For the Lord takes care of us daily! No better prayer than giving thanks, when you give thanks for what He has done be sure that He will do more. How glorious it will be if all believers where "Thanksgivers" our lives will definitely be faultless. Listen I am not just talking of a celebration in a gathering/church with dancing, singing and loud instruments, it is more than that! Most of the ills a believer could fall prey to could be avoided if we really know how to give thanks. Prayer should not be asking, asking and asking like the relationship with a boss. With God all things is already done. We just align to what is done. Even in asking when you feel so anxious the bible says do it with thanksgiving. Philippians 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer an

THE REAL THING

1 Kings 19:10,18 Elijah replied, “I have zealously served the Lord God Almighty. But the people of Israel have broken their covenant with you, torn down your altars, and killed every one of your prophets. I am the only one left, and now they are trying to kill me, too.” Yet I will preserve 7,000 others in Israel who have never bowed down to Baal or kissed him!” We live in the times when a lot of counterfeits, deceits and make believes, flood every part of our communities all in the name of the Lord. As the Lord brought numbers into the faith at the beginning of the mission of Christ's apostles so also rising alongside were counterfeits: (Matthew 12:24-30) Matthew 24:10-12 And many will turn away from me and betray and hate each other. And many false prophets will appear and will deceive many people. Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold. The above words of Christ is the situation all around the globe, we have motivational speakers, manipulators(witchcr

LOVE IN GOD'S HAND

1 John 4:7-8 Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God. But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love. Love here must not be confused with the various emotions people have. For you cannot love in disobedience: All of God's commandments is summed up in love. Timothy 1:5 Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere faith, While writing to Timothy, Paul instructed him that the whole essence of the instruction was Love. All begins and will end in love. You do what you do actually because of love. So "I love you" most people say is mere words or temporary emotional feeling. LOVE IS A DECISION! Every action we take is a product of our love for one thing or the other. That is why we are instructed: 1John 2:15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

LIVING IN REMEMBRANCE OF ME

Luke 22:19 He took some bread and gave thanks to God for it. Then he broke it in pieces and gave it to the disciples, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this to remember me.” 1 Corinthians 11:25c Do this to remember me as often as you drink it.” The communion is a well known practice of Christianity in almost all denomination. I remember that I can recite almost all part of the eucharist, I really did enjoy doing that by heart during the communion part of the church service (even up till today).  . . . do this as often as you drink it in rememberance of me . . . So many now practice the communion as a ritual, that makes you pure, some orthodox churches even make a mandate such that if you are not a communicant you do not have a place in God's kingdom, for they do not see you as a member of the church. Wait: Is it the bread or the wine that is the issue? No. It is a symbol signifying the death of Christ, His body was sacrificed for our redemption and His blood shar
