DIFFERENT PHASES BUT STILL ONE

John 17:21a

I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one

1Corinthians 4:7

For who made you better than your brother? or what have you that has not been given to you? but if it has been given to you, what cause have you for pride, as if it had not been given to you?

Why do we have issues and problems in the groups, committees, churches and communities. It arises when we do not understand that "we are not all in the same phase". Everyone goes through a phase, from one to the other and of course it is not always of the same degree with another.

Ephesians 4:2

With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;

There are:

* the freshers - those who just began the journey

* the children - those who are in the early stage of growth, though this is not a matter of how long, many may have been there a while, yet grow at a very slow pace.

* the youths - these are moving from childhood to adulthood

* the matured - these have grown and have began to eat strong meat, this category is also subdivided into levels

These categories differ from group to group yet we have to be able to manage them to maintain one accord and peace.

Romans 14:19

So then, let us go after the things which make peace, and the things by which we may be a help to one another

We further have those that have secular jobs, business types, apprentices, students, housewives, those in search of jobs, single, married, and so on.

The mixture always makes it difficult to keep all things calm and under control. Yet it is not of man but of God. Remember to make earth work God changed the common language of the people. People with same language stuck together.

So to keep in line we speak one language that is a common purpose.

A leader is one who can make this work. Like our master Jesus who could mix fishermen, tax collectors, physicians etc together and had a team.

Ephesians 4:16

From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

Philippians 2:2

Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, [being] of one accord, of one mind.

The Holy Spirit makes the difference.

In all with patience and forbearing knowing that each one of us are in different phases we do not act based on ourselves alone but considering every other person, we do not seek our own alone but with others in mind. Then that family will have peace, love would reign, things would work out.

Romans 15:5

Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:

I see PEACE, UNITY and one ACCORD. Though we are all in different phases of life, may God grant us love for one another.

That family will know peace, that team will succeed, that home will be united again. That organisation will move forward. That church will arise, love will bind us together.

By His grace and if He wills, our nation will rise again from the terrible divisions, wickedness and self- centeredness. That people will not live for themselves alone but for others.

And above all that all will come to really know the Heavenly Father through the only way - Christ, who paid the price for our redemption.

Glory to Father, the Son and His Spirit now and for evermore. Amen
