DON'T FALL FOR THE LIE

Proverbs 20:17

Bread of deceit [is] sweet to a man; but afterwards his mouth shall be filled with gravel.

THERE IS A TRUTH, we must all remember and teach those under us continually, that truth is:

*"IT IS A LIE!"

The urge may seem so much that if you don't do it, have it or be it you will die. It is all a lie, a mirage, a false sense of the flesh.

It is this lie that has caused the havoc of sin in our society and communities today.

That thing, person, or status we long so much for or/and feel we just have to get may not really be it when we eventually get it.

THE SAME GAME PLAYS OUT, AGAIN AND AGAIN!

2 Samuel 13:14
Howbeit he would not hearken unto her voice: but, being stronger than she, forced her, and lay with her.
 Then Amnon hated her exceedingly; so that the hatred wherewith he hated her [was] greater than the love wherewith he had loved her. And Amnon said unto her, Arise, be gone.

James 1:14&15
But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

Most times when we finally satisfy that desire it leads to:

Death, to visions and dreams, career, calling, ministry, it furthers aggravates, confidence is taken away, uncertainty takes over. It goes further to hurt the other person or people. Don't fall for it!

Many ministers have gone to seek other powers because of this, fathers (paternal and otherwise) have lost the respect and trust of their children. Men becomes bias and can no longer hear from God. Excuses and explanations take over we begin to seek self attainment and relevance.

One other tragedy is, lies leading to lies then more lies. (The Lord have mercy on us)

It becomes no longer about "the God of man" but "the man of God".

These things should not be:

The word must take preeminence that the man of God do not fall:

2 Timothy 3:17
That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Let us never be deceived, the man of God must walk in righteousness, hate and shun every form of wickedness.

2 Peter 2:20 (NLT)
And when people escape from the wickedness of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and then get tangled up and enslaved by sin again, they are worse off than before.

It is all a lie, all that sweetness that great urge to do that which is wrong, all those desires. It is lies of the flesh and the deceit of the world. Please do not fall in, even if you come out today the Lord has made you clean. Stay clean!

For you are the children of your father the devil, and you love to do the evil things he does. He was a murderer from the beginning. He has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies.

What our saviour gave us is truth, no lie:

Ephesians 4:21 (NLT)
Since you have heard about Jesus and have learned the truth that comes from him,

May we never take a break from being led by the Holy Spirit.

Galatians 5:16
[This] I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

The Lord Almighty would show Himself merciful and keep us, His own, from the lies of this world. Glory to God.

So help us Good Lord.
