DO YOU HAVE A GOOD TESTIMONY?

Romans 1:8

First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.

What is our testimony? Who do people say that we are?

Does it really matter?

Luke 9:18

And it came to pass, as he was alone praying, his disciples were with him: and he asked them, saying, Whom say the people that I am?

Of course we could have misconceptions, people could label us wrongly due to ignorance, envy or mere maliciousness.

What we should be interested in is our fruits, for Christ said:

Matthew 7:20

Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

And more testimonies:

Ephesians 1:15

Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,

Colossians 1:4

Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love [which ye have] to all the saints,

1Thessalonians 1:8

For from you sounded out the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith to God-ward is spread abroad; so that we need not to speak any thing.

As we move from place to place, even if we are restricted to home, work, church and general community. What trend have we left behind? Have we been representing God or have we been a disappointment?

We may think we have been getting away with this or that, or we are so smart, or so untouchable or that it doesn't matter, or that the Heavenly Father is not interested. Hmm

2Peter 3:9

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Hebrews 12:29

For our God [is] a consuming fire.

Proverbs 11:21

[Though] hand [join] in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.

If we are caught in this web, it is enough, we must repent immediately.

Listen, you cannot outsmart the world, it's system or it's concept - for the earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof:

Psalms 24:1

The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it. 

The world and all its people belong to him.

One of the greatest king who ever lived, thought he was untouchable:

Daniel 4:30-33

As he looked out across the city, he said, ‘Look at this great city of Babylon! By my own mighty power, I have built this beautiful city as my royal residence to display my majestic splendor.’

“While these words were still in his mouth, a voice called down from heaven, ‘O King Nebuchadnezzar, this message is for you! You are no longer ruler of this kingdom.

You will be driven from human society. You will live in the fields with the wild animals, and you will eat grass like a cow. Seven periods of time will pass while you live this way, until you learn that the Most High rules over the kingdoms of the world and gives them to anyone he chooses.’

“That same hour the judgment was fulfilled, and Nebuchadnezzar was driven from human society. He ate grass like a cow, and he was drenched with the dew of heaven. He lived this way until his hair was as long as eagles’ feathers and his nails were like birds’ claws.

He then had to confess with his own mouth:

Daniel 4:34-37

“After this time had passed, I, Nebuchadnezzar, looked up to heaven. My sanity returned, and I praised and worshiped the Most High and honored the one who lives forever. 

His rule is everlasting, and his kingdom is eternal.

All the people of the earth are nothing compared to him. 

He does as he pleases among the angels of heaven and among the people of the earth. 

No one can stop him or say to him, ‘What do you mean by doing these things?’

“When my sanity returned to me, so did my honor and glory and kingdom. My advisers and nobles sought me out, and I was restored as head of my kingdom, with even greater honor than before.

“Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and glorify and honor the King of heaven. All his acts are just and true, and he is able to humble the proud.”

Let go of greed, intimidations, immorality, cheating, lies, hate and unforgiveness. Unburden yourself. Be free!

Don't hide and say I am already saved:

Romans 1:18 

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

And for those of us who have kept a good testimony, we cannot afford to slack now. The enemy may not cease to tempt, however we are more than conquerors, our good nature cannot be changed. Yes our good testimony would not be marred. We have God's Spirit in us. He must take pre-eminence. Glory to the Heavenly Father.

2Thessalonians 3:13

But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.

Our testimony must be good!

Are you an elder? You must first have a good report and be known to raise others (especially the younger ones) to have a good report too.

Hebrews 11:2.

For by it the elders obtained a good report.

Let the trash go, unburden yourself.

Hello parents! Where are your children? Are your eyes open towards them, do you really know them, by love are you ordering their path or are you just in their shadow? Selah

We must meditate on the right things.

Philippians 4:8

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things [are] honest, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] lovely, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue, and if [there be] any praise, think on these things.

May we finish with good testimony.

So help us Good Lord.

He calls us blessed.
