HEART OF THANKSGIVING

1Thessalonians 5:18

"in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you."

One thing we must ask ourselves as we end each day is "Have I given thanks today?" For the Lord takes care of us daily!

No better prayer than giving thanks, when you give thanks for what He has done be sure that He will do more.

How glorious it will be if all believers where "Thanksgivers" our lives will definitely be faultless.

Listen I am not just talking of a celebration in a gathering/church with dancing, singing and loud instruments, it is more than that!

Most of the ills a believer could fall prey to could be avoided if we really know how to give thanks.

Prayer should not be asking, asking and asking like the relationship with a boss. With God all things is already done. We just align to what is done.

Even in asking when you feel so anxious the bible says do it with thanksgiving.

Philippians 4:6

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;

Before anything else, give thanks to God for giving you life and for giving His Son "Yeshua, Jesus the Christ" in whom He has allowed all things to dwell.

 Colossians 2:9

"For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily;"

If you have Jesus you have everything.

Before anything else daily my friend, give thanks.

Romans 8:32

"He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?"

See a lot of querrels, discord and hate are a product of envy. It is the desire for the world's glory, fame and wealth:

James 4:1-3

What is causing the quarrels and fights among you? Don’t they come from the evil desires at war within you?

You want what you don’t have, so you scheme and kill to get it. You are jealous of what others have, but you can’t get it, so you fight and wage war to take it away from them. Yet you don’t have what you want because you don’t ask God for it.

And even when you ask, you don’t get it because your motives are all wrong—you want only what will give you pleasure.

A thankful heart is not like that, a thankful heart is appreciative, instead of dwelling on what has not yet been manifested, we dwell on what He has done, thus, we are grateful then we can really do Thanksgiving. Where is the Thanksgiving if you still have envy and hate in your heart? To give thanks you must be free of all the counter-thanksgiving vices.

A thankful heart, gives thanks for what the Lord does for others instead of putting on envy. Selah
