GOD OUR HELP

Psalms 121:1-2,8

I look up to the mountains— does my help come from there?

My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth!

The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever.

Until you have ever been disappointed by someone, relations, friends, people,  organizations, your community/country you will not understand what it means to trust.

It is normal for we as humans to rely on one another for one thing or the other, however we are still humans, we are fallible!

One man who understood this was David, he knew that His trust was in the Lord. He was a man he could be afraid. However he put his trust in the Lord, he stayed in prayer.

Psalm 56:3

What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.

Do we notice that David understood how important our prayers are to God? He knew God took record of them and that none of our tears as believers is wasted He stores them in His bottles.

Psalms 56:8

You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.

There is nothing the Lord cannot take care of, most of the times the problem is that we can only see in part, our knowledge and foresight is limited so we demand immediate actions to things when He wants us to wait.

The equation of one's life's cycle is more understandable by Him, He knows how to solve and implement them more than we do.

Has God taken away our will, planning and decision making? NO. From creation He gave man a free hand, however warning man not to eat of that which will cause His death. So we can say as Paul taught:

1 Corinthians 10:23

You say, “I am allowed to do anything”—but not everything is good for you. You say, “I am allowed to do anything”—but not everything is beneficial.

Thus, we know that in all things the Lord has our best interest at heart. However, that will not excuse our living in ignorance (Hosea 4:6), our willful continuance of sin (Romans 6:1-2), our living in hate, or envy (1John 4:7-8).

See, we must understand that the Lord will take care of that important issue of ours before He considers those irrelevant demands. For He is interested in making us and building us up, than our mere enjoyment or merriment.

And the grand help of all comes after we have finished our journey here:

In all, we know that after this earthly journey God will wipe away every tear from our eyes. Yet still while we are in this life we have the comfort of His Holy Spirit. He dwells in us. Glory to God.

John 14:18

I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

Revelation 21:4

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Yes we have a greater glory, we have experienced what our elders' of old only envisioned. Can we do better than they did? Can we claim a better testimony. They trusted God in the midst of stern situations, what is our own testimony?

The Lord will never fail us, we must lean on Him for just as David prophesied:

Psalm 56:13

For thou hast delivered my soul from death: [wilt] not [thou deliver] my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?

Compare:

Colossians 1:13

Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated [us] into the kingdom of his dear Son:

Romans 8:32

He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

Give God praise this morning, see He will take care of that thing, He will help you. That is what He does.

Glory to the Lord in the Highest. As He is glorified yesterday, so He is glorified today and in time to come. Halleluyah

He calls us blessed.
