ENDING AND BEGINNING WITH GOD'S POWER

Ephesians 1:19-20 I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms. This is the last day of 2021. The Heavenly Father be glorified for His grace and mercy throughout the year. It is a great time to be reminded of how the Lord has given us great power, the same which rose Christ from the dead. Oh if only we knew what happens to a believer at the new birth. It is a new identity a wholesome transformation, an immigration into royalty, the highest in existence both now and in the world to come. Ephesians 1:21 Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come. Let us do a little journey: The Heavenly Father decided to create the universe, a dimension consisting of the heaven(s) and the earth.  Genesis 1:1 In the beginn

SPIRITUAL WISDOM

Ephesians 1:17 asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God. Paul was full of joy at the good report on the church at Ephesus, they were testified to be of strong faith in the Lord Jesus and full of love for God's people everywhere: Ephesians 1:15-16 Ever since I first heard of your strong faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for God’s people everywhere, I have not stopped thanking God for you. I pray for you constantly, Can we see those two factors? Strong faith and love. Do we see them in our church today? Yes the church has battled so many interference from the gate of hell, but what the Lord said is that it will not prevail. Today with the most relevant part of scriptures exposed to all people many still wallow in ignorance. Why? They refuse to accept wisdom. Proverbs 1:20-25 Wisdom shouts in the streets. She cries out in the public square. She calls to the crowds along the ma

RICH BECAUSE OF CHRIST

Ephesians 1:3 All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. As we count down three days to end this year, it is beautiful to be reminded that we are blessed in Christ Jesus, that is, in all spiritual blessings. (Glory to the Heavenly Father!) See, every physical blessing is worthless without the backup spiritual blessing, for what is man without his spirit. Where does all the things that make man fulfilled come from, what is man's essence? It is his spirit, for earthly things cannot lift up man's spirit but spiritual things. That is why a man might have so much possession yet cannot express joy, while another man will have a little possession but is full of joy. Selah We cannot underestimate the essence of the creator in the life of man. When His presence is not there, we have a vacuum. This is why so many run after prophets and spiritual diviners for they need g

YOU MUST BEAR FRUIT

John 15:2 He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more. This is a very important reminder as we go through the last four days of this year. The Lord expects us to bear fruit. Yes, our Heavenly Father is a good investor. Let us start from creation: Genesis 1:22,28 Then God blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful and multiply. Let the fish fill the seas, and let the birds multiply on the earth.” Then God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground.” The Lord blessed His creation and commanded them to multiply! It is very important that we understand this so that we are on the right side of the Lord. In Matthew chapter 24 & 25, the Lord explains to us with various parables the requirements to enjoy eternal Bliss with the Lord. One of them was the parable of the

PRACTICAL FAITH

Luke 7:9 When Jesus heard this, he was amazed. Turning to the crowd that was following him, he said, “I tell you, I haven’t seen faith like this in all Israel!” Jesus finished some powerful teachings and came to Capernaum: Luke 7:2-5 At that time the highly valued slave of a Roman officer was sick and near death. When the officer heard about Jesus, he sent some respected Jewish elders to ask him to come and heal his slave. So they earnestly begged Jesus to help the man. “If anyone deserves your help, he does,” they said, “for he loves the Jewish people and even built a synagogue for us.” So the man was religious he was a friend of the Jews, if it was at the present time we can say he was a friend of christians and had built a church. He might have become a proselyte, scripture didn't record that, because today that man would have been ministered to that he might be saved, just like Cornelius got the opportunity. However, we are looking at something significant about him: He was hum

THE CELEBRATION

Luke 2:10-11 but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David!. Today there is an argument about the celebration of Christmas, some say it is a pagan worship others say that it was never celebrated by Christ or His disciples. The arguments continue that He was not born on the 25th of December, that that date stands for the birthday of a deity etc. These arguments are not new, some sects have stood against this celebration many years earlier. Hello, I do not think anyone knows the exact day the Messiah was born as a child into this world, furthermore no one has His picture or a sketch of Him. (Those still using pictures and sketches of Him - be reminded that what You have is not of Him). However was there celebration on the day He was born? YES. Luke 2:9,13-14 Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them, and the radianc

THE EVENT

Isaiah 9:6-7 For a child is born to us, a son is given to us.  The government will rest on his shoulders.  And he will be called:  Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. His government and its peace will never end.  He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David for all eternity.  The passionate commitment of the lord of Heaven’s Armies will make this happen! The prophesy was made long ago, the people who ought to receive it were not expecting Him, instead it was strangers who came to worship Him. Matthew 2:1-2 Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the reign of King Herod. About that time some wise men from eastern lands arrived in Jerusalem, asking, “Where is the newborn king of the Jews? We saw his star as it rose, and we have come to worship him.” So will it be when He comes again. Selah So much argument here and there about dates, others say it is a pagan worship to celebrate Christmas. A lot of theories some credi

COUNSEL TO BELIEVERS 1

1 Thessalonians 5:16-19,22 Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. Do not stifle the Holy Spirit. Stay away from every kind of evil. Paul, Timothy and Silas were ending their first letter to the church at Thessalonica, they stated key things the believer must observe and practice. The first one is honour for our spiritual leaders and those who WORK for the Lord: 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13a Dear brothers and sisters, honor those who are your leaders in the Lord’s work. They work hard among you and give you spiritual guidance. Show them great respect and wholehearted love because of their work. Now this! This is very important for believers, you must honour those who give you spiritual guidance, the Lord expects this from us. We are in the days when supposed "men of God" are insulted and ridiculed by the general public. Is there good reason why this is so? YES, many impostors have occupied p

STAYING ON THE RIGHTEOUS SIDE

Psalms 1:1-6 Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers. But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season.  Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do. But not the wicked!  They are like worthless chaff, scattered by the wind. They will be condemned at the time of judgment.  Sinners will have no place among the godly. For the Lord watches over the path of the godly, but the path of the wicked leads to destruction. A very difficult stand for humans in our world today is to walk in the path of righteousness. We feel that if we maintain the right path, we will be cheated, taken advantage of, mocked/called names and that we will look foolish in the eyes of people. Hmm, it is really an abnormally to think this way, that is why man needs help. Sin has put man in a death position thus carnal man craves f

OUR LIGHT AND OUR SALVATION

Psalms 27:1 The Lord is my light and my salvation— so why should I be afraid?  The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble? Teaching a group of children about Psalm 27 in a night devotion, I switched off the power source to the bulbs making the room dark. I then asked them to read the bible, of course they could not. Putting on the power source the room was flooded with light, I then asked them to read their bibles and they could do so easily. I then asked them why they could not read at the first instance, they responded that it was because there was no light. I also asked them how they felt when the large room was dark, they said they felt fear. Now we can see what the Psalmist is saying: Psalms 27:1 (message) Light, space, zest -  that's God! So, with him on my side I'm fearless, afraid of no one and nothing. Psalm 27:1 (KJV) The LORD [is] my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD [is] the strength of my life; of whom shall I be a

REMEMBER THE LORD YOUR GOD

Ecclesiastes 12:1-7 Don’t let the excitement of youth cause you to forget your Creator. Honor him in your youth before you grow old and say, “Life is not pleasant anymore.” Remember him before the light of the sun, moon, and stars is dim to your old eyes, and rain clouds continually darken your sky. Remember him before your legs—the guards of your house—start to tremble; and before your shoulders—the strong men—stoop. Remember him before your teeth—your few remaining servants—stop grinding; and before your eyes—the women looking through the windows—see dimly. Remember him before the door to life’s opportunities is closed and the sound of work fades. Now you rise at the first chirping of the birds, but then all their sounds will grow faint. Remember him before you become fearful of falling and worry about danger in the streets; before your hair turns white like an almond tree in bloom, and you drag along without energy like a dying grasshopper, and the caperberry no longer inspires sexu

THE REASON YOU HAVE IT

Psalms 41:1-3 Oh, the joys of those who are kind to the poor!  The Lord rescues them when they are in trouble. The Lord protects them and keeps them alive.  He gives them prosperity in the land and rescues them from their enemies. The Lord nurses them when they are sick and restores them to health. This morning we look at an issue that needs to be talked about. "Why should you have it?" I have always emphasized that the reason you have that gift is to use it for the blessing of others. Let us take a simple example of our Lord Himself: Acts 10:38 And you know that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Then Jesus went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him. You have no business having those goodies if it is to store them in a place, when we have so many who have need. We must understand this, we are NOT talking of your savings, your little investments, neither your capital for business or wages for y

DON'T FORGET

Psalms 103:2 Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things he does for me. Wisdom is not to allow a present difficulty or challenge make you forget earlier victories. For we humans could be that swayed away. All that the Lord has done for us through the years, His daily guidance, mercy and supplies, we could put aside to begin to complain about one issue that just arose. The children of Israel were delivered from the bondage of slavery which they had been locked up in for centuries, yet meat was reason enough for them to want to return to Egypt. So annoying. Yes it is annoying, but what of we who have believed? Listen: Romans 8:32 Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else? We err the same way they did, when we think that any situation is too hard for Him to take care of. Jeremiah 32:27 “I am the Lord, the God of all the peoples of the world. Is anything too hard for me? Christ echoes this declaratio

UNDER HIS COVER

Psalms 91:5-10 Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day. Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness, nor the disaster that strikes at midday. Though a thousand fall at your side, though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you. Just open your eyes, and see how the wicked are punished. If you make the Lord your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter, no evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your home. This Psalm 91 have been attributed to Moses and compiled by David into his book of Psalms. It is said that it was composed by Moses the day he completed the building of the Tabernacle in the desert. The verses describe Moses' own experience entering the Tabernacle and being enveloped by the Divine cloud. Understanding of scriptures as we must have known by now, is in understanding the Word Himself, Christ Jesus. He is the fulfilment of every promise we see in scriptures. Listen, the Jews stood as

A WIN-WIN SITUATION

As I remember one year my earthly Father went to sleep, we are reminded of one thing we humans don't want to hear or talk about most times, it is about sleeping, that is when a person dies.  However, it is something that we are faced with one time or the other, either of someone close or an acquittance. We must remember that: Psalms 89:48 No one can live forever; all will die.  No one can escape the power of the grave.Interlude However: Psalms 116:15 The Lord cares deeply when his loved ones die. So it will come but not untimely, for that is what we desire and even scriptures says so, however, when we see this, we must react like true believers: 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 And now, dear brothers and sisters, we want you to know what will happen to the believers who have died so you will not grieve like people who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus returns, God will bring back with him the believers who have d

LIKE OUR FATHER

Ephesians 6:10 (Message) And that about wraps it up. God is strong, and he wants you strong. I have not read that verse this way, " . . .God is strong and He wants you strong." It came to me yesterday. Let us look at other translations of that verse: Ephesians 6:10 (KJV) Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Ephesians 6:10 (NLT) A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. While I was meditating on this verse I was led to a reference, which I will call it's origin: Genesis 1:27 So God created human beings in his own image.  In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. Genesis 1:27 (message) God created human beings; he created them godlike, Reflecting God's nature. He created them male and female. Are these just a play around words? No, Christ emphasized it, listen: Matthew 5:45 In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven. For he gives his sunlight to both the

PURPOSEFULLY CREATED

Ephesians 5:15-17 So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do. Purposeful living is the characteristic feature of all those who have made impact in their world. It is said that if a purpose of a thing is not known abuse is inevitable. The believer understands that we do not just exist, we were created by the Heavenly Father though through biological birth, we have a spirit that makes us significant, we have the God factor. Listen to Jesus: Matthew 10:30-31 And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows. We matter to God, and He is interested in our lives. One of the first step of the enemy's dominion over man is to convince man that the Lord does not have their interest at heart . . .listen: Genesis 3:1 The serpent was the shrewdest of all th

THE LORD TAKES CARE OF HIS OWN

Psalm 34:7 The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them. The book of Psalms emphasizes the Lord's favour on those who put their trust in Him. He categorizes them as the righteousness for their way of live pleases the Lord. The Lord calls them blessed: Psalm 34:8 O taste and see that the LORD [is] good: blessed [is] the man [that] trusteth in him. All through scriptures it has been so, the righteous are those who walk in the will of the Lord, they are humble, they put their trust in the Lord, their nature is love and the do good continually. However the other category are those who choose the path of unrighteousness, they are proud, their feet run to do evil and they do not put their trust in God. Psalm 34:12-14  What man [is he that] desireth life, [and] loveth [many] days, that he may see good?  Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.  Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it. For this reason C

KNOW HIM YOURSELF

Proverbs 2:1-5 My child, listen to what I say, and treasure my commands. Tune your ears to wisdom, and concentrate on understanding. Cry out for insight, and ask for understanding. Search for them as you would for silver; seek them like hidden treasures. Then you will understand what it means to fear the Lord, and you will gain knowledge of God. One of the reasons the religious leaders at the time Christ walked the earth hated him was because he made them understand that they did not know God! It wasn't pleasant to them that one came to show them the real person of the Heavenly Father, it seemed as if He took the spotlight away from them, reducing their prestige in the midst of the people. For about twenty times, the gospels records Christ calling out "Woe unto you . . ." in reference to the religious leaders at that time: Luke 11:43  Woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye love the uppermost seats in the synagogues, and greetings in the markets. Though they didn't like it, i

COME

Matthew 11:28 Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. The Heavenly Father has called everyone, thus it is man that has his destiny in his hands, either to live or die: Deuteronomy 30:15 “Now listen! Today I am giving you a choice between life and death, between prosperity and disaster. His hands are stretched out to receive all who heed His call. Yes, the sinner: Isaiah 1:18 “Come now, let’s settle this,” says the lord.  “Though your sins are like scarlet,  I will make them as white as snow.  Though they are red like crimson,  I will make them as white as wool. Also, the believer who wants the fill of His Spirit: John 7:37-39 On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me! Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’” (When he said “living water,” he was speaking of th

SELF LOVE

1 John 2:7-10 Dear friends, I am not writing a new commandment for you; rather it is an old one you have had from the very beginning. This old commandment—to love one another—is the same message you heard before. Yet it is also new. Jesus lived the truth of this commandment, and you also are living it. For the darkness is disappearing, and the true light is already shining. If anyone claims, “I am living in the light,” but hates a fellow believer, that person is still living in darkness. Anyone who loves a fellow believer is living in the light and does not cause others to stumble. As we go closer to the end of the year, we are led to look more on love. It is God's nature and also His deciding factor: John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. The opposite of love is hate, and it is a parasitic cankerworm that eats into its host. Do you know that one can hate oneself, yes, j
