Isaiah 9:6-7

For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. 

The government will rest on his shoulders. 

And he will be called: 

Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

His government and its peace will never end. 

He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David for all eternity. 

The passionate commitment of the lord of Heaven’s Armies will make this happen!


The prophesy was made long ago, the people who ought to receive it were not expecting Him, instead it was strangers who came to worship Him.


Matthew 2:1-2

Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the reign of King Herod. About that time some wise men from eastern lands arrived in Jerusalem, asking,

“Where is the newborn king of the Jews? We saw his star as it rose, and we have come to worship him.”


So will it be when He comes again. Selah


So much argument here and there about dates, others say it is a pagan worship to celebrate Christmas. A lot of theories some credible some huggwash.


The true story remains, Christ came into this world, me and you he came to save.


It was a celebration then, heaven rejoiced:


Luke 2:8-14,20

That night there were shepherds staying in the fields nearby, guarding their flocks of sheep.

Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them, and the radiance of the Lord’s glory surrounded them. They were terrified, but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people.

The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David!

And you will recognize him by this sign: You will find a baby wrapped snugly in strips of cloth, lying in a manger.”

Suddenly, the angel was joined by a vast host of others—the armies of heaven—praising God and saying,

“Glory to God in highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased.”

The shepherds went back to their, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen. It was just as the angel had told them.


The heavens knew what it meant - salvation to man. Man who was to be saved, had no clue.


Today, do we know? It is NOT about eating and drinking, Santa Claus or Christmas trees, NO, it is salvation given to man by a great sacrifice.

Remember: God is in control.

As we go through the 11th month of this year of accomplishment, let us be reminded. When it seems to hurt so much, or it all looks quiet and alone, when it appears not to work out. Please don't give up, God is still in control Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
