UNDER HIS COVER

Psalms 91:5-10

Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day.

Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness, nor the disaster that strikes at midday.

Though a thousand fall at your side, though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you.

Just open your eyes, and see how the wicked are punished.

If you make the Lord your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter, no evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your home.

This Psalm 91 have been attributed to Moses and compiled by David into his book of Psalms. It is said that it was composed by Moses the day he completed the building of the Tabernacle in the desert. The verses describe Moses' own experience entering the Tabernacle and being enveloped by the Divine cloud.

Understanding of scriptures as we must have known by now, is in understanding the Word Himself, Christ Jesus. He is the fulfilment of every promise we see in scriptures.

Listen, the Jews stood as an example when these events were recorded, the referenced God interaction with His children. So every promise of God at that time when seen through Christ (the Living Word), is fulfilled in the life of the believer.

2 Corinthians 1:20

For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory.

Listen again: if You do not know the Word - Christ Jesus, your study of scriptures could err, recall that the enemy quoted from this chapter when tempting the Messiah!

Matthew 4:5-7

Then the devil took him to the holy city, Jerusalem, to the highest point of the Temple, and said, “If you are the Son of God, jump off! For the Scriptures say,

‘He will order his angels to protect you.

And they will hold you up with their hands so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone.’”

Jesus responded, “The Scriptures also say, ‘You must not test the lord your God.’”

No wonder Paul instructed by the Spirit:

2 Timothy 2:15

Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth.

Yes the promises of God recorded in the old testament are fulfilled in us through Christ Jesus.

Feel free to reference them and stand in authority in them.

The enemy and ignorant people should not bully you, let them taunt, tempt or mock you, it is a waste of time, You know WHO you are, WHOSE you and WHERE you dwell. Listen:

Psalms 91:1-3

Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

This I declare about the Lord:

He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him.

For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease.

Recite these three verses again and again, then meditate on it, then recite it again, absorb it's power let it fill You in the inside, then read the entire chapter again and again.

I remember that my mother quotes the whole of the chapter again and again. It sank into me. No wonder my family is a bundle of testimony and a wonder to many.

Listen, if You are saved God has you covered, and as we learnt yesterday. It is a win-win situation.

Common now, worship the Lord, yes worship Him in the beauty of His holiness.

We are of a great family, the greatest in all of existence. We have the bragging right, we are more than conquerors.

Psalms 91:1-3

Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty

This I declare about the Lord:

He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; He is my God, and I trust him

For He will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease.

Glory to God.

He calls us blessed.
