ENDING AND BEGINNING WITH GOD'S POWER

Ephesians 1:19-20

I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms.

This is the last day of 2021. The Heavenly Father be glorified for His grace and mercy throughout the year.

It is a great time to be reminded of how the Lord has given us great power, the same which rose Christ from the dead. Oh if only we knew what happens to a believer at the new birth. It is a new identity a wholesome transformation, an immigration into royalty, the highest in existence both now and in the world to come.

Ephesians 1:21

Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come.

Let us do a little journey:

The Heavenly Father decided to create the universe, a dimension consisting of the heaven(s) and the earth. 

Genesis 1:1

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

We are told of an earth that was void, the Lord began to bring it into shape by His Word.

Genesis 1:2

The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters.

Then in creating things for this earth He decided He wanted Himself represented in to to his earth, thus, He created man.

Genesis 1:26-28

Then God said, “Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us. They will reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the wild animals on the earth, and the small animals that scurry along the ground.”

So God created human beings in his own image. 

In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

Then God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground.”

Each of the living creatures God created from the earth were not given dominion neither were they given choice but man was, it was like a father sending a son to go rule one of His properties.

Now let us move faster.

Man disobeyed and fell, however something strange happened, unlike the Satan and angels, God did not abandon man. Yes the enemy tempted man to sin, however man was not excusable, he had the power of choice.

So it is evident that there was a special love for man He created. (When we say man, it is man as a whole . . . you are just one out of innumerable that lived, are living now and will still live).

We see God still interested in man, when man wanted to abandon the filling the earth to cluster in a place, the Heavenly Father intervened and thus we have different languages, which led to different cultures and the spreading to fill the earth took place.

God still wanted man to be saved. When evil filled the earth mainly because of angels who left their place to come to beautiful women on earth (they taught man, most of the evil and other knowledge they practice up till today). God wanted to destroy the earth, He still found man - Noah, to yet keep man in the cycle.

When man was filling up the earth again, evil still reigned, He found Abraham - the Father of faith. The Lord always found someone to keep His touch on humanity.

This went on till He built a small nation - Israel who was to be His link, the channel through which He will bring about His master plan for the full salvation of man and reordering all things on earth and in the heavens.

Just as fallable as they were, the Jews missed it, yet God's plan must come to pass:

John 4:22

You Samaritans know very little about the one you worship, while we Jews know all about him, for salvation comes through the Jews.

So the last and perfect saviour came, God had to bring His Word to become flesh - human. So that He Himself could save man.

John 3:16

“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

The resolution of all the anomaly on earth and in heaven was settled in Christ Jesus.

Matthew 28:17-18

When they saw him, they worshiped him—but some of them doubted!

Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth.

See, these authority is above all other whether in heaven or on earth.

Ephesians 1:21

Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come.

Now where do we come in?

Ephesians 1:22-23

God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made him head over all things for the benefit of the church.

And the church is his body; it is made full and complete by Christ, who fills all things everywhere with himself.

The church is not a denomination, there is nothing like this is the true church or this is the real church etc. NO!

The church is the body of Christ, all that have believed and walk in obedience with Christ. They become like brothers and sisters to him. Listen to Christ Himself.

Matthew 12:46-50

As Jesus was speaking to the crowd, his mother and brothers stood outside, asking to speak to him.

Someone told Jesus, “Your mother and your brothers are standing outside, and they want to speak to you.”

Jesus asked, “Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?”

Then he pointed to his disciples and said, “Look, these are my mother and brothers.

Anyone who does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother!”

Listen religious people, the criterion to be part of Christ family, His church, is in accepting/believing in Him and walking in obedience.

Hey, no human can take the place of Christ in your life. 

Salvation is personal, listen, judgement will also be personal. 2Cor. 5:10.

We miss the privilege of enjoying the authority we have in Christ when we leave being family with Him as a church to focus on religion or on earthly philosophies. For that is what many authorities have brought into the church.

As we end this year today, it is time for you to reconnect to the power we have as believers in Christ Jesus, no one can do it for You. You must have your personal relationship with the Heavenly Father and that can ONLY be through His Son, the Christ.

John 14:6

Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.

In Him we enjoy the great spiritual blessings the Heavenly Father has given us both in this life and the life to come. No man, pope, GO, bishop, prophet or whatever they are called can give it to you.

So when we gather together, we gather as brethren filled with His Spirit.

Remember, that edifice you are worshipping cannot have God in it.

Acts 7:48

However, the Most High doesn’t live in temples made by human hands. As the prophet says, . . .

So instead of building the edifice alone, build the people that should be in it, for in them the Lord lives.

Matthew 18:20

For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.”

Not where they are gathered or the edifice, it is the people that matter not the location. Teachers of the word, teach right!!!

So, connect to this glorious power given to us in Christ Jesus.
