PURPOSEFULLY CREATED
Ephesians 5:15-17
So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise.
Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days.
Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do.
Purposeful living is the characteristic feature of all those who have made impact in their world. It is said that if a purpose of a thing is not known abuse is inevitable.
The believer understands that we do not just exist, we were created by the Heavenly Father though through biological birth, we have a spirit that makes us significant, we have the God factor.
Listen to Jesus:
Matthew 10:30-31
And the very hairs on your head are all numbered.
So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows.
We matter to God, and He is interested in our lives. One of the first step of the enemy's dominion over man is to convince man that the Lord does not have their interest at heart . . .listen:
Genesis 3:1
The serpent was the shrewdest of all the wild animals the lord God had made. One day he asked the woman, “Did God really say you must not eat the fruit from any of the trees in the garden?”
"Did God really say . . .", what has begun to happen? Doubt has set in. Does it mean that man cannot ask questions, or that man cannot research to make findings? NO, but we must be wise, for:
Ephesians 6:12
For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.
So what do we make sure of first:
Ephesians 6:13-18
Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.
Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness.
For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared.
In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil.
Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.
Get the basics right first. Selah
Luke 6:48
It is like a person building a house who digs deep and lays the foundation on solid rock. When the floodwaters rise and break against that house, it stands firm because it is well built.
1 Corinthians 3:11
For no one can lay any foundation other than the one we already have—Jesus Christ.
Once you have gotten this basic right, then, you can build.
For I tell those who listen, that the whole of the gospels is a product of questions, which when answered gave us scriptures. Selah
So we must live purposeful lives because the Lord is interested in our lives, we were created for good works and to make impact:
Ephesians 2:10
For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
He planned for us long ago! Glory to God.
So before you sit there whining, complaining, regretting, giving excuses: look around you and in the media, you see people who don't have what you have, be it opportunities or even complete health yet they are accomplishing great things, fulfilling purpose and making impact. WHAT IS YOUR EXCUSE? - (the battle begins and ends in your mind. Selah)
Remember:
Revelation 20:12
I saw the dead, both great and small, standing before God’s throne. And the books were opened, including the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to what they had done, as recorded in the books.
Books?
Know one thing:
2 Corinthians 5:10
For we must all stand before Christ to be judged. We will each receive whatever we deserve for the good or evil we have done in this earthly body.
Thus we must live purposely, the first step is aligning with the only way to the Heavenly Father:
John 14:6
Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.
John 3:3,5
Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God.”
Jesus replied, “I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit.
Then you continue in grace to fulfil purpose.
The beautiful thing about it is that your own starting point can be today.
2 Corinthians 6:2
For God says, “At just the right time, I heard you.
On the day of salvation, I helped you.”Indeed, the “right time” is now. Today is the day of salvation.
So help us Good Lord.
He calls us blessed.
Love
