Yes, for we still have the power of will, the power to follow Him or to deny. The justification of man is not by the law, for the law brings the awareness of man's weakness. When you say they are wicked and should be punished, you are condemning yourself, for you who judge others do these very same things. Romans 1:18,21 But God shows his anger from heaven against all sinful, wicked people who suppress the truth by their wickedness. There are two types of foolishness: * those who DO NOT believe that there is a God; and * those who believe that there is a God, BUT refuse to acknowledge Him. Romans 1:4-5 and he was shown to be the Son of God when he was raised from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit. He is Jesus Christ our Lord. Through Christ, God has given us the privilege and authority as apostles to tell Gentiles everywhere what God has done for them, so that they will believe and obey him, bringing glory to his name. The gospel, "the good news" is all about Jesus the Christ. That God who was seen as afar came to be with man. Habakkuk 3:17-19 Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in the Lord! Every believer should know this by default: troubles, trials, tribulations, wars etc, would be, however, the Lord delivers us from them all. We can't stop all these evils in the world. Jude 1:3-4 Dear friends, I had been eagerly planning to write to you about the salvation we all share. Philemon 1:4-5,7 I always thank my God when I pray for you, Philemon, because I keep hearing about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all of God’s people. Your love has given me much joy and comfort, my brother, for your kindness has often refreshed the hearts of God’s people. The book of Philemon is a letter Paul wrote to Philemon telling him to accept Onesimus as a brother in faith. Who was Philemon? He was a convert of Paul in Colosse, he was a wealthy man who gave his house to be used as a place of worship for the brethren. He was a generous worker and great help to Paul and the church. 2 Peter 2:14 They commit adultery with their eyes, and their desire for sin is never satisfied. They lure unstable people into sin, and they are well trained in greed. They live under God’s curse. The nature of those who have rejected the Heavenly Father is displayed by a heart that desires against His will. The heart that dwells in sin and has made it a way of life, even after they have known the true light of God. Some of them were called as light but have derailed to do the work of darkness. Like Balaam of old who for the lust of money was on his way to curse Israel and had to be spoken to by a donkey to stop his madness: 2 Peter 2:15-16 They have wandered off the right road and followed the footsteps of Balaam son of Beor, who loved to earn money by doing wrong. But Balaam was stopped from his mad course when his donkey rebuked him with a human voice. They have chosen evil over good. Yes, the world is full of evil, yet we are made to standout as light in the dark world.
