THOSE TO AVOID

Jude 1:8,10,16
In the same way, these people—who claim authority from their dreams—live immoral lives, defy authority, and scoff at supernatural beings.
But these people scoff at things they do not understand. Like unthinking animals, they do whatever their instincts tell them, and so they bring about their own destruction.
These people are grumblers and complainers, living only to satisfy their desires. They brag loudly about themselves, and they flatter others to get what they want.

It is painful to acknowledge that the christian community have been penetrated with so many individuals and groups who do not really belong to the Lord, either by their falling away or they being planted as tares among good seeds as Christ revealed in the parable of the "seeds and tares". Matthew 13:24-30

This was why Jude, Peter and Paul and other New Testament writers warned about this people in their letters. For they come to destroy the flock, to lead many astray. Most of them enforce leadership, they long for it, to impose their way on people and are so full of themselves, they love that cover "touch not my anointed", that makes them untouchable and never desiring to be accountable to the people neither to the Heavenly Father.

Jude 1:12-13
When these people eat with you in your fellowship meals commemorating the Lord’s love, they are like dangerous reefs that can shipwreck you. They are like shameless shepherds who care only for themselves. They are like clouds blowing over the land without giving any rain. They are like trees in autumn that are doubly dead, for they bear no fruit and have been pulled up by the roots.
They are like wild waves of the sea, churning up the foam of their shameful deeds. They are like wandering stars, doomed forever to blackest darkness.

What is waiting for them? - destruction!

Jude 1:14-15
Enoch, who lived in the seventh generation after Adam, prophesied about these people. He said, “Listen! The Lord is coming with countless thousands of his holy ones
to execute judgment on the people of the world. He will convict every person of all the ungodly things they have done and for all the insults that ungodly sinners have spoken against him.”

Are there some that can be saved, yes, those who err ignorantly or have been deceived by these ones. However those who determine by their will to follow the way of darkness you may only be able to intercede for. Can there be hope for them?!

Jude 1:22-23
And you must show mercy to those whose faith is wavering.
Rescue others by snatching them from the flames of judgment. Show mercy to still others, but do so with great caution, hating the sins that contaminate their lives.

Knowing this, what should we then do? How do we then live our life?

Jude 1:20-22
But you, dear friends, must build each other up in your most holy faith, pray in the power of the Holy Spirit,
and await the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will bring you eternal life. In this way, you will keep yourselves safe in God’s love.
And you must show mercy to those whose faith is wavering.

Beware of those practices, no matter how old they are, or even how they may be accepted by the church/world that were never practiced by Christ or the apostles of old. Practices that have no origin in scriptures, man made doctrines and rules. They are already being exposed by the crises in the world!

The Lord have mercy on us, His grace will yield its goodness day after day. We will finish well.

Jude 1:24-25
Now all glory to God, who is able to keep you from falling away and will bring you with great joy into his glorious presence without a single fault.
All glory to him who alone is God, our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord. All glory, majesty, power, and authority are his before all time, and in the present, and beyond all time! Amen.

Halleluyah.

He calls us blessed.

Love
