GRACE DOES NOT PERMIT SIN

Jude 1:3-4
Dear friends, I had been eagerly planning to write to you about the salvation we all share. But now I find that I must write about something else, urging you to defend the faith that God has entrusted once for all time to his holy people.
I say this because some ungodly people have wormed their way into your churches, saying that God’s marvelous grace allows us to live immoral lives. The condemnation of such people was recorded long ago, for they have denied our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.

No matter how you preach grace, it does not permit sin.

Now we know what grace is, unmerited favour, it is not what you work for, no, you receive it. Yes. Our salvation was by grace, free to us but expensive for the giver. It was purchased by His blood.

Ephesians 1:6-7
So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son.
He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins.

Ephesians 2:8-9
God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.
Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.

So grace is a gift, the question is, FOR WHAT?

Ephesians 2:10
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Yes, what does this grace do?... Good works, you please the Father...

Titus 2:11-15
For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people.
And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God,
while we look forward with hope to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed.
He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds.
You must teach these things and encourage the believers to do them. You have the authority to correct them when necessary, so don’t let anyone disregard what you say.

Who will be quoted in scriptures?

No one ever related grace to sin or iniquity, they all pointed to the truth, grace is only associated with righteousness, good works and holy living. GRACE IS LIBERTY FROM SIN.

2 Timothy 1:9
For God saved us and called us to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was his plan from before the beginning of time—to show us his grace through Christ Jesus.

It never takes you to sin, it is actually the power to overcome sin.

So let us get it and get it right. Grace only empowers you to live a life pleasing to God.

Romans 6:1-2
Well then, should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more of his wonderful grace?
Of course not! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it?

Anyone who has received God's grace is saved, sin no longer has dominion.

Romans 6:14,18
Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God’s grace.
Now you are free from your slavery to sin, and you have become slaves to righteous living.

For one is a slave to whomsoever they choose to obey.

Romans 6:16
Don’t you realize that you become the slave of whatever you choose to obey? You can be a slave to sin, which leads to death, or you can choose to obey God, which leads to righteous living.

There is no way the message of grace encourages sin, Christ Himself, His disciples, all writers of scriptures, no one associated grace with liberty to sin!

For sin brings judgment of condemnation - destruction:

Jude 1:5-7
So I want to remind you, though you already know these things, that Jesus first rescued the nation of Israel from Egypt, but later he destroyed those who did not remain faithful.
And I remind you of the angels who did not stay within the limits of authority God gave them but left the place where they belonged. God has kept them securely chained in prisons of darkness, waiting for the great day of judgment.
And don’t forget Sodom and Gomorrah and their neighboring towns, which were filled with immorality and every kind of sexual perversion. Those cities were destroyed by fire and serve as a warning of the eternal fire of God’s judgment.

For grace empowers us to be free from sin. Thus we are free from all condemnation.

Romans 8:1-2
So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.
And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.

Glory to God.

Thank you Loving Father, for your Grace.

He calls us blessed.

Love
