LOVE - OUR NATURE
1 John 3:11
This is the message you have heard from the beginning: We should love one another.
The unwritten law before the world began, the law that made men get God's attention even after the fall. The law of love.
Matthew 22:37-40
Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’
This is the first and greatest commandment.
A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.”
Yes, the love of the Heavenly Father is the beginning and the end of the law, then the love of our fellows. This law is written in the hearts of man from creation a departure from it is the definition of rebellion.
Romans 13:8-10
Owe nothing to anyone—except for your obligation to love one another. If you love your neighbor, you will fulfill the requirements of God’s law.
For the commandments say, “You must not commit adultery. You must not murder. You must not steal. You must not covet.” These—and other such commandments—are summed up in this one commandment: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
Love does no wrong to others, so love fulfills the requirements of God’s law.
We obey God because we love Him. . .
John 14:15
“If you love me, obey my commandments.
John 15:10
When you obey my commandments, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Father’s commandments and remain in his love.
1 John 2:5
But those who obey God’s word truly show how completely they love him. That is how we know we are living in him.
Also if you love God, you love your fellow brethren:
1 John 4:20-21
If someone says, “I love God,” but hates a fellow believer, that person is a liar; for if we don’t love people we can see, how can we love God, whom we cannot see?
And he has given us this command: Those who love God must also love their fellow believers.
When we say love, we should understand that we should not expect love from the world, No, immediately you identify with Christ those who are still in darkness may not want to associate with you, consciously or unconsciously for what does light have in common with darkness, thus, hatred may set in. This is not new:
1 John 3:12-13
We must not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and killed his brother. And why did he kill him? Because Cain had been doing what was evil, and his brother had been doing what was righteous.
So don’t be surprised, dear brothers and sisters, if the world hates you.
It should not come as a shock to you!
So your love is not a function of the love of others to you. No!
For we have passed from death to life, the evidence of our life is love!
1 John 3:14-15
If we love our brothers and sisters who are believers, it proves that we have passed from death to life. But a person who has no love is still dead.
Anyone who hates another brother or sister is really a murderer at heart. And you know that murderers don’t have eternal life within them.
For we must always remember that the Lord deals with our heart, our motive therefore matters. We must understand our nature and not adopt the nature of the world or an unclean spirit. This is why we stay in the word and walk by the Spirit.
Remember He knows our heart:
1 John 3:19-22
Our actions will show that we belong to the truth, so we will be confident when we stand before God.
Even if we feel guilty, God is greater than our feelings, and he knows everything.
Dear friends, if we don’t feel guilty, we can come to God with bold confidence.
And we will receive from him whatever we ask because we obey him and do the things that please him.
Stay in faith, walk in obedience, that is, walk in love, remember that if you are born again, you have His Spirit, walk in His Spirit. The Spirit that gave you life in the new birth.
1 John 3:23-24
And this is his commandment: We must believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as he commanded us.
Those who obey God’s commandments remain in fellowship with him, and he with them. And we know he lives in us because the Spirit he gave us lives in us.
We will not miss it, we will walk in God's love.
Ephesians 3:17
Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong.
Ephesians 5:1-2
Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children.
Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.
Thank you Father for your love.
He calls us blessed.
