DON'T LOOSE FOCUS

Philippians 3:20&21 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:  Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. Philippians 3:21(NLT) He will take our weak mortal bodies and change them into glorious bodies like his own, using the same power with which he will bring everything under his control. This is a truth we must never ignore, our body as it is now continues to decay, however we are going to receive a new body. It is the ignorance of this that makes many lay their treasures on earth alone and when it is time for eternity they find that they have empty files! Now we must know for sure that there are many distractions here on earth to keep us from investing in our eternal rest. Some are things we must do, some are not necessary, no matter what category they fall, all can become great distrac

KNOWING THAT THERE IS AN AFTERLIFE

Titus 2:11-13(NLT) For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God, while we look forward with hope to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed. Knowing that Christ will return to make us like Himself, free from the world's troubles and our pains, we live in expectance of Him. Not in idleness, for He did not call us into idleness or mediocrity but into fulfilling of purpose. Just like in His parable: Luke 12:43-44 If the master returns and finds that the servant has done a good job, there will be a reward. I tell you the truth, the master will put that servant in charge of all he owns. Wonder at those church leaders who have permitted lazy youths, idling away, when they ought to be about secular and spiritual businesses. No work, no pay,

NO AFTERLIFE

Matthew 18:23 Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants. What if there was no afterlife? Some will say, what type of question is this? There should be afterlife. Well are we living as if there is? Are all our actions not restricted to this earthy life? Romans 14:12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God. Yes all of us! The principles we live by, the lifestyle we take, the influence for all our decisions and actions. Do we have the afterlife in heart? Are we controlled by * love of money * tribalism/racism * wrath/rage * our feelings * what people would say * pride * revenge * lust * fear * praise of man. . . . . . If we believe there is an afterlife, do we live as if there is one? The Messiah gave a parable: Luke 16:31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead. Wisdom is to know Him

HELP OTHERS

Romans 15:2 We should help others do what is right and build them up in the Lord. That we build ourselves up spiritually is essential. We ought to grow everyday, for we do love ourselves. However our divine nature takes us further than that, it makes us build others (especially the weak) up. Romans 15:3 For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me. If we are over conscious of self, we will be of benefit to no one, and thus would not display our divine nature from God. We will be unfruitful! Romans 15:6-7 Then all of you can join together with one voice, giving praise and glory to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, accept each other just as Christ has accepted you so that God will be given glory. This is how we can be at peace with the brethren. What of those who have not believed. We keep interceding for them, inviting them to come into the great redemption which the Messiah had work

LET'S GATHER BECAUSE OF CHRIST

Ephesians 1:10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; [even] in him We should always have it in mind that all things will end, and when it does we go to a better place without all the troubles and pains we face now. As we join other believers to worship, pray and study God's word, let us remember the reason we gather. The originator of our union. Christ Jesus. He promised that He prepares a place for us, that we might be with Him forever. Oh what great joy. John 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, [there] ye may be also. Whatever it is that would want to take away His dominance must be resisted, it must be all about Him. Thus even as we overlook the shortcomings of man, we never condone sin, filth or laziness, but encourage God's love, faithfulness and accountability. As we worshi

FATHER, GIVE US GOOD LEADERS

Romans 13:1-2 Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God. So anyone who rebels against authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and they will be punished. Now does this imply that all that rule on earth are chosen by God? No, because man do have a say in who leads them. Can anyone rule if God does not permit it? No, cause no one can bring to pass if the Lord had not permitted it. However God expects us to respect authorities. This is why we should not cow when we face difficult situations, the Lord who permitted it has a good work to accomplish in us and He will bring us out quickly making us better than who we were before the situation. So we pray and speak into the leadership process, be it for our country, state, local government and wards, business organizations, churches and other leadership hubs, that above all, God's will be done. For Jeremiah

DIFFERENT ROLES BUT ONE PURPOSE

Romans 12:4-8 Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ’s body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other. That was how the church began and that is how it is to continue. Everyone may not be gifted with the same gifts but the focus is that we function together for the growth of the body. One should not be esteemed more than the other. Focus on your gifts and fulfil your ministry. Seeking man's approval could actually become a stumbling block. Romans 12:6a In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. The source of the gift is the Heavenly Father Himself, the beneficiary is the brethren, the church. So we account to God. Even when we account to our earthly leaders, we do so to them as God's representatives. Thus do not let anyone restrain you, however remember that the gift of the prophet is subject to the prophet. While not being restrained we should NOT go ov

AVOID VENGEANCE

Romans 12:19 Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say, “I will take revenge;I will pay them back,” says the lord. Offences would surely come as we continue our journey here on earth. One thing we must learn to do is never to act when we are angry. Almost one hundred percent of the time, if we reflect on it, we find that we regret our actions. It is not that we do not get angry, the bible teaches that even when we do, it should not lead us to sin. Ephesians 4:26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: If an enemy hurts us, well what do we expect from an enemy. However betrayal is when a friend intentionally hurts us. Check it! What makes us think it is intentional? So better to talk about it than be silent! Luke 17:3 Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. If it hurts talk about it, it is always a wonder what we discove

RELEASE THE HOLY SPIRIT

Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. John 14:17(NLT) He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you. The reason the person of the Holy Spirit is not active in most believers is because they refuse to release Him. They actually keep resisting His influence till He is excused from our daily living yet this ought not to be so. John 14:26 But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. He is Christ still with us even after He had ascended, the very seal by which the Heavenly Father recognises His own. We ought to yield to Him. Ephesians 4:30

BE FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT

Psalm 42:1&2 As the deer pants for the water brooks, So pants my soul for You, O God.  My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God? This thirst has been filled by Christ's promise, that is the release of the Holy Spirit. : John 7:38  "He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water." Today we are no longer under the bondage of Satan, sin and the world, but we have victory over them all. We are significant and so much empowered because we have been adopted as sons. Isaiah 12:4  And in that day shall ye say, Praise the LORD, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted. We can draw from that well of salvation, "The Holy Spirit" that our thirst is continually filled. We enjoy that quench of thirst in the Holy Spirit today, God with us day after day. MAY WE MAKE THE MOST OF HIM! He calls us blessed.

WE ARE INSTRUMENTS OF WORSHIP

Genesis 1:27(NLT) So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. One beautiful thing about instruments of worship are that they come alive when they are touched or blown into. Bringing forth their melody. This was how God created man: Genesis 2:7 Then the lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground. He breathed the breath of life into the man’s nostrils, and the man became a living person. Yes, the touch and the breath. That is the way we bring forth melody from instruments. Thus we can see that we are instruments for worship. Halleluyah Psalm 150:6  Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD. Are you fulfilling your purpose? Do you bring God glory? WE ARE GOD'S MASTERPIECE! If we know what privilege we have to be created by God, we will make the most of our lives. Ephesians 2:10(NLT) For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, s

IT MUST BE WELL WITH OUR LAND

Psalms 125:3(NLT) The wicked will not rule the land of the godly, for then the godly might be tempted to do wrong. Never a better time than now to intensify prayer for our land. No matter where you desire to run to, it is always well to return to find peace and prosperity in your home country. Proverbs 29:2  When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn. Yes, if there is crying, hunger, evil and bad reports then surely the evil ones have a say in the high places of the kingdom. Thus we must keep at praying. That they wicked will not have their way in authority. People would say: "why must evil men get to the place of authority?". We must remember that it is a secular world and every sect has its say. However where are those of us who ought to keep watch, to stay awake while the process was going on? Where are our intercessors and leaders, have they been carried away by the fanfare or swallowed up in t

CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR OUR NATION AND LEADERS

Deuteronomy 17:15-17&20  "you shall surely set a king over you whom the LORD your God chooses; one from among your brethren you shall set as king over you; you may not set a foreigner over you, who is not your brother.  "But he shall not multiply horses for himself, nor cause the people to return to Egypt to multiply horses, for the LORD has said to you, 'You shall not return that way again.'  "Neither shall he multiply wives for himself, lest his heart turn away; nor shall he greatly multiply silver and gold for himself. "that his heart may not be lifted above his brethren, that he may not turn aside from the commandment to the right hand or to the left, and that he may prolong his days in his kingdom, he and his children in the midst of Israel. We should vote 😀👍 There is need to pray for those who lead and those who would lead us. The bible says: Romans 13:1&2  Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no aut

HONOUR YOUR PARENTS

Ephesians 6:1-3 Children, obey your parents because you belong to the Lord, for this is the right thing to do. “Honor your father and mother.” This is the first commandment with a promise: If you honor your father and mother, “things will go well for you, and you will have a long life on the earth.” How happy are those who still have parents to seek advice from. Good parents are a blessing to any young one, yet still even when you have grown older they remain a sweet aura to you. Good parents who have done good work on their children are blessed to have their children as their advisors in their older years. ". . . you reap what you sow". God is interested in families and He respects the authority of parents. No spiritual leader is wise to ask any child to dishonour their parents. It is so important to God that He attaches long life to it! Exodus 20:12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

WHEN YOU DON'T WANT IT TO GO

1Thessalonians 5:19 Quench not the Spirit. There are those times, those moments when you experience God's presence, so overwhelming that you just don't want it to end. You feel so captivated like Peter at the transfiguration and say : Matthew 17:4 Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias. Those kind of explosive experiences could come when you have personal worship, a special group programme or encounter a great anointing or anointed one. We do good to treasure those moments, however they are not be idolized but be the prompt for a step ahead, a growth. For we still wear this perishable body, yes, however we must know how to connect with the divine. We must remember that we have the Holy Spirit indwelling in us: Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any m

TRAPPED IN WHAT SEEMS (a reminder)

John 16:13  "However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. When Jesus said that those born of the flesh are flesh and those born of the Spirit are spirit. He spoke of the kind of life we would live day after day. It is a hard thing to be led by those who do not have the Spirit. The same way it is great to have a gifted, talented and intelligent boss who knows how to take decision, the same way every leader must know what is to be done at each point in time. If God is leading a lot of errors could be avoided. How difficult it is to be led by those who are moved by their feelings or the atmosphere of the moment. Those under them tend to suffer. Let us take a look at Saul: 1Samuel 14:24, 27 & 29 And the men of Israel were distressed that day, for Saul had placed the people under oath, saying, "Cursed is the man

KEEP TRUSTING IN THE LORD

John 15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. Christ did not call us besides Himself, He saved us not to be left on our own but that we should be empowered by Him. To draw from His own life source. The Heavenly Father! John 7:38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. Yes we become channels by which God's life force flows. Not mere containers, cause we will be exhausted, yes we channel out thus we keep being fed. Halleluyah! It is condemnation for those who refuse to put their trust in God. For condemnation is as a result of rejection. IF YOU REJECT HIM HE REJECTS YOU TOO. John 15:6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast [them] into the fire, and they are burned. 1Samuel 15:23 For rebellion [is as] the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness [

DO IT FOR GOD'S GLORY

1 Peter 4:10&11 As every man hath received the gift, [even so] minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. If any man speak, [let him speak] as the oracles of God; if any man minister, [let him do it] as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. That God may be glorified, that should be the goal, this is true  accomplishment. However when it for self glory, for a competition or for pleasing men, we loose the divine nature of the gift or anointing. Whenever our stewardship is not centered to please the Heavenly Father we begin to loose its essence and failure is eminent. Everything we do as believers even our eating and drinking ought to give God glory! 1Corinthians 10:31  Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. Talk-less of our ministry! So, enough of trying to please man, enou

WHAT SHOULD I KEEP DOING?

Jude 1:4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. We certainly live in times when false prophets, false teachers and false leaders have filled many parts of the earth. Many who are not called of God, neither seeking Him but having an agenda of their own and some are agents of the evil one. Another category are those who however initially are called of the Lord but now have abandoned the way and have sought another. Jude 1:11 Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core. They teach that you can be of God and still live in immorality: Jude 1:4 I say this because some ungodly people have wormed their way into your churches, saying that God’s marvelous grace allows us to live immoral lives. The condem

KEEP MOVING

Exodus 14:15 And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward: There is nothing wrong in resting, it is actually wisdom to know when to rest, to take time out. However the rest is for you to arise renewed and keep moving forward. As we continue our journey through this world, time and again we face challenges that slow us down. Situations do arise that make us suddenly pause and sometimes it could seem so overwhelming that we feel all would come to an end. However, we are not moved by feeling but by FAITH! For the believer we should understand that we are not on our own, the Lord is with us. Psalm 46:1-3 God [is] our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.  Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;  [Though] the waters thereof roar [and] be troubled, [though] the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah. T

HEALING FOR US

Malachi 4:2 But to you who fear My name the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings; and you shall go out and grow fat like stall-fed calves. The desire of God for us is that we should be in good health. The earth consist of things which could make our natural body weak and fall to sickness. Some ailments were from birth, some developed from activities done after birth, some as a result of bad life style, some as a result of eating the wrong things and recently from the activities of man in improving technologies, wars and also industrialisation. From the beginning of time God has been in the business of healing. The fall of man as recorded in Genesis 3 made man liable to sicknesses and diseases. But God had always shown His power to heal. His mercy was reveled from His children of Isreal and all who still came from the outside received their healing, when they stirred up their faith and came to God. An example is that of Naaman the Syrian commander who

DON'T GIVE IN

Proverbs 23:31 Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his colour in the cup, [when] it moveth itself aright. We who have come to Christ have left the ways of the world and all that is unrighteous to follow the new path Christ has laid for us. Our greatest desire being to always please the Heavenly Father. Just as Jesus, the Son of the Heavenly Father said, we are not taken out of the world but we are kept from evil. That was His prayer for us. Yet we must give account, we must face our trials and tribulations and overcome. John 17:15  I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. Romans 5:3 And not only [so], but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; Knowing this, then why would we as bel

EMBRACING GRACE - THE FAITH WALK

Ephesians 5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove [them]. When the liberty Christ brought us into is spoken of, some find it difficult to comprehend. Many still need to be guarded by the law. Why is this? They have not yielded to the Spirit of God. They have refused to grow. 1 Peter 2:1-3(NLT) So get rid of all evil behavior. Be done with all deceit, hypocrisy, jealousy, and all unkind speech. Like newborn babies, you must crave pure spiritual milk so that you will grow into a full experience of salvation. Cry out for this nourishment, now that you have had a taste of the Lord’s kindness. Many received salvation but have not been taught the rudiments of the new life they have received. That is rejecting the former life of sin and embracing the new birth into righteousness. It is not now about "do not touch" , "do not eat", "observe this day or that day", or "reverence this being or that bei

WHEN GRACE IS EXPRESSED

Ephesians 2:8  For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God: We were called from rejection into royalty. Empowered to live the type of life God wants us to live. That we would show forth the praises of Him who brought us into His everlasting life. Thus having been brought out of the bondage of the law, which was not actually given to us but to the Jews. We enjoy eternal grace as the bible puts it "the Jews first then the Gentiles". Yes that is why Jesus started His ministry with the Jews. However He continued in Samaria and He said "to the uttermost part of the earth". Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Thus, the gentiles never had the law, so it was easy for the grace to be expressed, it was(and is) more difficult for the Jews cause

JESUS THE MESSIAH(John 6)

John 6:28-29 They replied, “We want to perform God’s works, too. What should we do?” Jesus told them, “This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the one he has sent.” They had been fed miraculously and they rushed down again to see Him who fed them just as Jesus said, that they may be fed again. They even wanted to crown Him king (stomach infrastructure, smiles) John 6:26 Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled. They had heard that the Heavenly Father supplied manna from heaven to them when they were in the wilderness so they said: John 6:14  Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said, This is of a truth that prophet that should come into the world. However they did not know the extent of the Messiah's rule, the did not understand that God had left all judgment to Him. They had forgotten the prophesy. Isaiah 9:6

STAY "WOKE"

Mark 14:38 Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly [is] ready, but the flesh [is] weak. Staying awake is one very important role of the soldier. It is something that the body must be trained to do. Same thing the believer, the watch is so important for us to stay victorious. Then comes the phrase "the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak!". However especially in this troubled days, believers must stay awake. Matthew 26:40 And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour? The power and forces of darkness are at work and they ought not to meet us unprepared. Glory to God, we do not fight with weapons that are carnal, but with God's power that can pull down every strong hold. 2 Corinthians 10:3-4(NLT) We are human, but we don’t wage war as humans do. We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to

THE PROUD CHRISTIAN

Romans 12:3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think [of himself] more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. Can we ignore the great things and elevation we receive/received when we accepted/accept the salvation we have from the Heavenly Father through Christ Jesus. They are enormous. From nothing we become something. No matter who or what we thought we were or had. In spiritual measurement it is valueless. Ecclesiastes 1:2 Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; Do we know what it is to have direct access to the Father? (though sometimes we forget that we do) To sit with Christ in heavenly places! However many have to be warned not to take these privileges for granted. Romans 11:20-22 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:  For if God spared not the natural b

GOD'S WISDOM (a reminder)

Ecclesiastes 12:12  And further, my son, be admonished by these. Of making many books there is no end, and much study is wearisome to the flesh  It has been observed that as you grow to the zenith of academics your region of expertise begins to narrow down, you have areas of specialization. One thing is fact, there is no end to learning for man, when you think you know so much on a matter someone else arrives and dwarfs or levels your knowledge. A man can make so much noise on an issue but someone else comes and counter his clams. Proverbs 18:17 The first one to plead his cause seems right, until his neighbor comes and examines him. One still remaineth true and infllable and that is the call of God to every heart and mind and the evidence of His presence all around us. You may argue or try to use your human instinct to explain it, yet it will ellude you. The workings of God and His salvation plan by coming to earth in human form in the person of His Son further to the r
