DON'T LOOSE FOCUS
Philippians 3:20&21
For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.
Philippians 3:21(NLT)
He will take our weak mortal bodies and change them into glorious bodies like his own, using the same power with which he will bring everything under his control.
This is a truth we must never ignore, our body as it is now continues to decay, however we are going to receive a new body.
It is the ignorance of this that makes many lay their treasures on earth alone and when it is time for eternity they find that they have empty files!
Now we must know for sure that there are many distractions here on earth to keep us from investing in our eternal rest. Some are things we must do, some are not necessary, no matter what category they fall, all can become great distractions.
However we must never forget our focus. We are not changed yet, but we will be. When we are, may we not regret that we wasted our lives in things that do not matter, but let it be that we rejoice in Christ that we were faithful!
Colossians 3:1-5(NLT)
Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand.
Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth.
For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God.
And when Christ, who is your life, is revealed to the whole world, you will share in all his glory.
So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil desires. Don’t be greedy, for a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world.
Again I say, there are so many things on earth needful and unneeded that could make itself a distraction we must decide to focus.
Daniel stands as an example for us. He came he saw, he did not let it conquer him. What was the result? He conquered. Glory to God.
We will conquer.
He calls us blessed.
