EMBRACING GRACE - THE FAITH WALK

Ephesians 5:11
And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove [them].

When the liberty Christ brought us into is spoken of, some find it difficult to comprehend. Many still need to be guarded by the law.

Why is this?

They have not yielded to the Spirit of God. They have refused to grow.

1 Peter 2:1-3(NLT)
So get rid of all evil behavior. Be done with all deceit, hypocrisy, jealousy, and all unkind speech.
Like newborn babies, you must crave pure spiritual milk so that you will grow into a full experience of salvation. Cry out for this nourishment,
now that you have had a taste of the Lord’s kindness.

Many received salvation but have not been taught the rudiments of the new life they have received. That is rejecting the former life of sin and embracing the new birth into righteousness.

It is not now about "do not touch" , "do not eat", "observe this day or that day", or "reverence this being or that being" or "glory of elementals".

Colossians 2:20-23(NLT)
(read the whole chapter)
You have died with Christ, and he has set you free from the spiritual powers of this world. So why do you keep on following the rules of the world, such as,
“Don’t handle! Don’t taste! Don’t touch!”?
Such rules are mere human teachings about things that deteriorate as we use them.
These rules may seem wise because they require strong devotion, pious self-denial, and severe bodily discipline. But they provide no help in conquering a person’s evil desires.

It is living the nature of the Spirit we now carry.

1 Peter 2:9-11
But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.
“Once you had no identity as a people; now you are God’s people. Once you received no mercy; now you have received God’s mercy.”
Dear friends, I warn you as “temporary residents and foreigners” to keep away from worldly desires that wage war against your very souls.

So when we receive the new birth we walk a new walk. The walk of love:

Ephesians 5:2
And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.

When we walk in love, we just cannot do some things:

Ephesians 5:3-7
But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;
Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.
For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
Be not ye therefore partakers with them.

We have been brought into royalty we cannot continue or begin to live like the pigs outside. Selah

There is the palace nature and that is our nature.

We show forth the fruit of the Spirit we carry:

Galatians 5:22-24
But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!
Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there.

The sinful nature ought to be dead and gone.

We say the world is corrupt because it strives to awaken this dead nature but we resist.

1 Peter 5:8&9
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

We exercise our faith walking in the will of God and thus grow stronger and stronger in the grace Christ had given us.

We set the distractions aside that we may fully manifest the Spirit, thus fulfilling our ministry.

For:

Proverbs 14:34
Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin [is] a reproach to any people.

We are to glory "be exalted", not a reproach "be shamed". Selah

I see the people of God walking in the grace we received in Christ Jesus. We will continue in the faith walk. All our actions, meditations and speech will please the Lord.

Glory to God.

He calls us blessed.

Love
@the watcher.
