JESUS THE MESSIAH(John 6)

John 6:28-29
They replied, “We want to perform God’s works, too. What should we do?”
Jesus told them, “This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the one he has sent.”

They had been fed miraculously and they rushed down again to see Him who fed them just as Jesus said, that they may be fed again. They even wanted to crown Him king (stomach infrastructure, smiles)

John 6:26
Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.

They had heard that the Heavenly Father supplied manna from heaven to them when they were in the wilderness so they said:

John 6:14
Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said, This is of a truth that prophet that should come into the world.

However they did not know the extent of the Messiah's rule, the did not understand that God had left all judgment to Him. They had forgotten the prophesy.

Isaiah 9:6
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Though the rushed to make Him king, they did not understand that the kingdom surpassed ruling over the Jews!

He was the Mighty God! Selah

How many of us who have believed still hold on to the revelation of Jesus the Christ. Have we allowed other pursuits, arguments and beliefs take our eyes from our Lord and Saviour?

It is time to refocus!

Hebrews 12:2
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of [our] faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Jude 1:21
Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

It is more than just receiving miracles and provisions from Him. We have to have an intimate relationship. He makes you a part of the family. You are no longer an outsider.

John 1:12-13 (NLT)
But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.
They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God.

No matter what it is you pursue, those dreams, those goals, that wealth (though if you are Christ's own, wealth pursues you. Selah). Never replace Him with anything else.

Just as Jude concluded:

Jude 1:24&25
Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present [you] faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
To the only wise God our Saviour, [be] glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

Abide in Christ.

He calls you blessed.

Love
