CLEAN and UNCLEAN

Leviticus 11:43-44,46-47 Do not defile yourselves by touching them. You must not make yourselves ceremonially unclean because of them. For I am the Lord your God. You must consecrate yourselves and be holy, because I am holy. So do not defile yourselves with any of these small animals that scurry along the ground. “These are the instructions regarding land animals, birds, marine creatures, and animals that scurry along the ground. By these instructions you will know what is unclean and clean, and which animals may be eaten and which may not be eaten.” The Lord expects those who will come to Him, to be holy. Holiness has to do with separation, being apart from whatever it is that will make you unholy. We see Moses list various animals as unclean, not good for eating, furthermore touching them makes one ceremonially unclean. Has this instructions changed? Science has shown that most of these animals are not good for food, most of them either have high unhealthy fat or/and could cause som...

DON'T TEMPT THE LORD GOD

Leviticus 10:1-3 Aaron’s sons Nadab and Abihu put coals of fire in their incense burners and sprinkled incense over them. In this way, they disobeyed the Lord by burning before him the wrong kind of fire, different than he had commanded. So fire blazed forth from the Lord’s presence and burned them up, and they died there before the Lord. Then Moses said to Aaron, “This is what the Lord meant when he said,  ‘I will display my holiness through those who come near me.  I will display my glory before all the people.’”And Aaron was silent. I would want to believe that Aaron's sons were somewhat drunk when they came to offer this strange fire. This is not recorded in scriptures, however when we read verse 9, we see . . . Leviticus 10:9 “You and your descendants must never drink wine or any other alcoholic drink before going into the Tabernacle. If you do, you will die. This is a permanent law for you, and it must be observed from generation to generation. There is a reason for this...

FILLED WITH GOD'S SPIRIT

Leviticus 9:23b and the glory of the Lord appeared to the whole community. Ephesians 5:18 Don’t be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit, We live in times when the world has developed greatly, the inventions and discoveries available today where almost impossible in centuries past. The same way ideologies which were abominable and condemnable in time past are now being treated as a norm. These has caused many who would have been in time past reprimanded or cast away for their abominable act now being accepted and laws being formed to protect them. We know that these things have been prophesied to happen when the end is near: 2 Timothy 3:1,13 You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. But evil people and impostors will flourish. They will deceive others and will themselves be deceived. How do we protect ourselves and not get polluted with the world? John 15:4 Remain in me, and I will remai...

ALWAYS READY TO RECEIVE THE LORD

Leviticus 9:4 Also take a bull and a ram for a peace offering and flour moistened with olive oil for a grain offering. Present all these offerings to the Lord because the lord will appear to you today. The preparation of the priests was complete, it was time for the people to come to the presence of the Lord and the priest could perform his first task: He had to offer for the sins of the people, remember in chapter 8 he offered for himself and that of his sons(the other priests). Leviticus 9:15-16 Next Aaron presented the offerings of the people. He slaughtered the people’s goat and presented it as an offering for their sin, just as he had first done with the offering for his own sin. Then he presented the burnt offering and sacrificed it in the prescribed way. When this was taken care of he could now bless them: Leviticus 9:23 Then Moses and Aaron went into the Tabernacle, and when they came back out, they blessed the people again, and the glory of the Lord appeared to the wh...

THE ANOINTING

Leviticus 8:12-13 Then he poured some of the anointing oil on Aaron’s head, anointing him and making him holy for his work. Next Moses presented Aaron’s sons. He clothed them in their tunics, tied their sashes around them, and put their special head coverings on them, just as the Lord had commanded him. Special preparation was made for the anointing of the priests, sacrifice, blood, oil and ofcourse time was spent: Moses said: Leviticus 8:34-36 Everything we have done today was commanded by the lord in order to purify you, making you right with him. Now stay at the entrance of the Tabernacle day and night for seven days, and do everything the lord requires. If you fail to do this, you will die, for this is what the lord has commanded.” So Aaron and his sons did everything the lord had commanded through Moses. They needed to stay at the entrance of the tabernacle for seven days! You don't jump into ministry, there are preparations to be made, this include teachings, prayers, anointi...

PEACE OFFERING

Leviticus 7:11,16,34 “These are the instructions regarding the different kinds of peace offerings that may be presented to the Lord. “If you bring an offering to fulfill a vow or as a voluntary offering, the meat must be eaten on the same day the sacrifice is offered, but whatever is left over may be eaten on the second day. For I have reserved the breast of the special offering and the right thigh of the sacred offering for the priests. It is the permanent right of Aaron and his descendants to share in the peace offerings brought by the people of Israel. Every king is entitled to receive gifts from his subjects. One reason for gifts is to show allegiance and submission to the throne. The gifts are not mandatory but freely given. The mandatory gifts could become task especially when it has to do with a conquered people. Moses was given instructions concerning many types of offerings, amongst them are the gift and peace offerings. Some of them could be eaten, some could not, some part w...

THE SIN OFFERING

Leviticus 6:22a,25a In each generation, the high priest who succeeds Aaron must prepare this same offering. “Give Aaron and his sons the following instructions regarding the sin offering.  1John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: The books of the law had comprehensive offences and repercussions for errs. They only needed to refer the matter to the elders and teachers of the law then verdict was taken. However: Then the truth about God's law was revealed! Psalm 4:4 Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah. Psalm 78:37 For their heart was not right with him, neither were they steadfast in his covenant. The Lord looked at the heart, what is the intent! Matthew 5:27-28 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after...
