ALWAYS READY TO RECEIVE THE LORD

Leviticus 9:4

Also take a bull and a ram for a peace offering and flour moistened with olive oil for a grain offering. Present all these offerings to the Lord because the lord will appear to you today.


The preparation of the priests was complete, it was time for the people to come to the presence of the Lord and the priest could perform his first task:

He had to offer for the sins of the people, remember in chapter 8 he offered for himself and that of his sons(the other priests).


Leviticus 9:15-16
Next Aaron presented the offerings of the people. He slaughtered the people’s goat and presented it as an offering for their sin, just as he had first done with the offering for his own sin.
Then he presented the burnt offering and sacrificed it in the prescribed way.


When this was taken care of he could now bless them:

Leviticus 9:23
Then Moses and Aaron went into the Tabernacle, and when they came back out, they blessed the people again, and the glory of the Lord appeared to the whole community.


He blessed the people.


We see that it was all acceptable to the Lord.

Leviticus 9:24
Fire blazed forth from the Lord’s presence and consumed the burnt offering and the fat on the altar. When the people saw this, they shouted with joy and fell face down on the ground.


The order hasn't changed, what has changed is that we only have one high priest who has paid all the sacrifice and has shed the blood that is higher than any amount of blood.


Hebrews 9:13-14
Under the old system, the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer could cleanse people’s bodies from ceremonial impurity.
Just think how much more the blood of Christ will purify our consciences from sinful deeds so that we can worship the living God. For by the power of the eternal Spirit, Christ offered himself to God as a perfect sacrifice for our sins.


The people had to get the barrier of sin out for them to be able to see the Lord


Isaiah 59:1-2
Listen! The Lord’s arm is not too weak to save you, nor is his ear too deaf to hear you call.
It’s your sins that have cut you off from God.
Because of your sins, he has turned away and will not listen anymore.


Christ has settled it for us, it is now our role to remain in His righteousness and keep the fire burning, our bodies being the living sacrifice:

Romans 12:1
And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.


We can then be able to receive Him.


Remember it is not that the Lord is not there, No!


It is not that the Lord has stopped speaking, neither has He stopped ministering to us, No!


It is we who have not tuned in to the right channel, we have not made ourselves ready to receive Him and His Word.


Psalms 62:11
God has spoken plainly, and I have heard it many times:
Power, O God, belongs to you;


The analogy is simple. That radio station in your locality has not stopped broadcasting. It is you who is yet to tune your radio to it's frequency to connect to it's transmission. Selah


Are we ready to receive from the Lord?


It is wisdom to hear from the Lord continually, O how easy my life will be if I can hear from the Lord concerning every tiny detail of my life. The one who knows the end from the beginning will make it all easy for you. For even when you face the challenges you already understand that:


Romans 8:28
And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

Psalms 37:23-24
The Lord directs the steps of the godly.
He delights in every detail of their lives.
Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand.

Glory to God forevermore.


O Lord, draw me closer to You, tune me to Your frequency.


I will no longer be tossed here and there by anyone or anything.


I need You Lord.


He calls us blessed.
