IT IS UP TO YOU

2 Chronicles 15:2 and he went out to meet King Asa as he was returning from the battle. “Listen to me, Asa!” he shouted. “Listen, all you people of Judah and Benjamin! The Lord will stay with you as long as you stay with him! Whenever you seek him, you will find him. But if you abandon him, he will abandon you. It is actually that simple! You decide if you want the Lord to reign over Your life or if you want something else. Some would say: " O, I am neutral, I do not choose the way of the Lord and I also do not choose the way of evil". It may not be that simple, man was created to lean on God, we are dependent on the divine and the options are in fact limited. If you don't stay with God you will surely serve something else. Selah Recall that man originated from God and the enemy brought man's distance from God through rebellion, what was the result, man was now easily influenced by the enemy. Genesis 4:7 You will be accepted if you do what is right. But if you refuse

DON'T BE TRAPPED IN ASSUMPTIONS BE LED BY THE SPIRIT

John 16:13 "However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. When Jesus said that those born of the flesh are flesh and those born of the Spirit are spirit. He spoke of the kind of life we would live day after day. It is a hard thing to be led by those who do not have the Spirit. The same way it is great to have a gifted, talented and intelligent boss who knows how to make decisions, the same way every leader must know what is to be done at each point in time. If God is leading a lot of errors could be avoided. How difficult it is to be led by those who are moved by their feelings or the atmosphere of the moment. Those under them tend to suffer. Let us take a look at Saul: 1Samuel 14:24, 27 & 29 And the men of Israel were distressed that day, for Saul had placed the people under oath, saying, "Cursed is the man who

GOD WILL DO IT

Philippians 2:13 for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. Yes, many things may be bothering you as we go closer to the end of the year, there may be plans and expectations which are still pending and you: * still have requests * may have something bothering you * have a big project, job or assignment on our hands * may have an issue in the family * need a financial provision urgently * have someone who needs healing * have a matter to be settled, or an issue to resolve * may have been hurt or annoyed by someone * await news . . . and maybe others not mentioned. Notwithstanding all these, today lay them all aside and just acknowledge Him who made us see today, give Him praise, worship Him, give Him thanks . . . Let's set today aside to recognise Him who made all things and who controls all things. Revelation 7:12 saying: "Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom, thanksgiving and honor and power and might, be to our God forever and

GOD KNOWS WHAT IS BEST

Psalms 24:1 The earth is the Lord's, and all its fullness, The world and those who dwell therein. Our Heavenly Father who knows all and has all things in His control. Yes, we may ask: "O what of those who do not acknowledge Him yet things seem to work well for them?" It is indeed so because the Lord has made a system that works, when you follow the right principles it produces its result. Just like anyone has the privilege of planting into a fertile ground and the seed would grow once you water it properly. This works both for the good and the bad. Just as Jesus explained: Matthew 5:45 In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven. For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and the unjust alike. Listen, no one will employ you to do a work and then decide not to pay you because you do not know the founder of the organisation. No, once you are in employment you work and get your wages. Selah So

TRUST AND OBEY

2 Chronicles 14:2,5 Asa did what was pleasing and good in the sight of the Lord his God. Asa also removed the pagan shrines, as well as the incense altars from every one of Judah’s towns. So Asa’s kingdom enjoyed a period of peace. It is simple, if you trust and obey the Lord, you walk in His peace. That is the secret of living in peace and prosperity. The song "trust and obey" by John H. Sammis(1887) gives us a good description of what God expects from us: "When we walk with the Lord in the light of his word, what a glory he sheds on our way! While we do his good will, he abides with us still, and with all who will trust and obey. Trust and obey, for there's no other way to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey." King Asa enjoyed peace for 10 years, why, because he chose the way of the Lord, he trusted and obeyed. Does it then mean that we will not face challenges? No, However, the Lord steps in for us: 2 Chronicles 14:9,11-12 Once an Ethio

HAVE YOU DONE YOUR PART?

Matthew 25:23 “The master said, ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let’s celebrate together!’ I have discovered that those who complain most of the time are those who have not done their part! Before you complain about your spouse on how unloving they are, how they have not shown this or done that, ask yourself - WHAT HAVE YOU DONE? Have you done your part? Before you complain of that boss, that leader or even your parents, or children, ask yourself, HAVE YOU DONE YOUR PART? It is easy to point fingers, play the victim or apportion blames but wait, how are you sure you are NOT the one at fault. Have you evaluated yourself. Are you a good . . . * husband * wife * parent  * child * employee * employer * leader * follower * friend etc. Have you actually done your part well? A phrase from a maxim of equity reads:  "he who comes to equity must come with clean hands" Jesu
