THINK OF OTHERS

Matthew 7:12

"Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.

We live in times when many have become so self conscious that they think of themselves alone and no one else. It is always about, "how do I:

* get,
* gain,
* be better than another,
* rule over others,
* take advantage???

etc. . . "

Wisdom instead says:

Philippians 2:4
Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.

When we see men who have succeeded in achieving great things in life, one factor common to them is that they sought solutions to problems facing others.

* Abraham was the solution to a generation yet unborn

* Joseph was to alleviate famine from Egypt

* Daniel was to save the death of all the wise men in Babylon and eventually pray his way to the freedom of Israel

* Solomon was full of passion to lead Israel aright

* David wanted the problem of Goliath deleted

* Lot was tired of the sin of Sodom, he tried to show love to strangers

So many of the examples abound in scriptures, in earlier centuries and also now.

A thought for others is tapping from the wellspring of God. And thus we make God do the extraordinary.

1John 4:7
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God

God's love is for everyone and when we make others our business. We make our business God's business.

Ask yourself, why should God uplift you if you are of no benefit to others?

When our business motto is to make people happy and to meet their needs, we create a divine flow of supply.

So do you think of others, or are you only concerned about yourself?

Do you only see things to correct in others but never listen to correction yourself so that you can be better?

We must do better.

Help us Good Lord.

PRAYER
Loving Father, help me to think of others also and not only myself. Let the love You showed reflect in all I do for You are Love Lord and I am Yours. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.

He calls us blessed.
