WHAT DO YOU CONTROL?

Proverbs 25:28

A person without self-control is like a city with broken-down walls.


We keep praying, fasting, studying, going from one programme to the other, developing ourselves. In all staying in the Spirit.


All these are key elements of people who are heading somewhere, who have a vision of something greater in the future.


Mediocrity and laziness is not acceptable in the kingdom of God.


Trying to get help on things we do not have control over.


But . . .


What have we done with the ones we can control?


God asked Moses "what do you have in your hand?"


The prophet asked the widow "What do you have left?"


Now the question is what are we doing with what God has allowed us to control, the number one thing is self.


Colossians 3:10
And have put on the new [man], which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:


How have you taken charge to ensure that you have taken care of your mind, body and soul?


Romans 12:1&2
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.


It is what you do on purpose allowing the "you" submit to the Spirit of God, His Word and His will.


In Romans 12:2 . . .
it is only when you willing begin to transform your mind . . . "by studying the word of God, praying consistently in the spirit and with understanding"
then you begin to understand and live the perfect will of God.


As we continue in work today I see us disconnecting from every vain conformity and connecting to God's transformation through His Holy Spirit.


Colossians 3:5
Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.


We will bear good fruit and our fruit shall abide.


We do this so that we can use valuable time to make the best of what we control.


Take control of what you control. Do it today.


Help us Good Lord.


PRAYER
Loving Father help me to always do my part by taking control of things You have placed in my hand and making the most of them. That which is out of my control is safe in Your hands O Lord so I do not need to worry. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.


He calls us blessed.

DO YOU STILL SEE?

DO UNTO OTHERS . . .

Matthew 7:12 "Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets. It is hypocritical of us to expect people to stand with us when we are experiencing challenges yet when we see others face their own challenges, we begin to imagine what they must have done wrong or maybe they annoyed God or did one evil or the other instead of reaching out to help as we would desire others to do for us. The same thing goes for prosperity, when the Lord opens a door for us and we have abundance of wealth or a breakthrough we expect others to rejoice with us, more so, some would even find it hard to give to others.
