THE LORD CARES ABOUT THE RIGHTEOUS

Psalms 37:23

The Lord directs the steps of the godly. 

He delights in every detail of their lives.


If you have ever questioned why you should be good and do good, the reason most times is because you have wondered what gain there is.


Just like David did once, he wondered why it seemed evil people prospered while those who stayed good suffered. However, he found out not long that this was not true.


Psalms 73:3,12-13,16

For I envied the proud when I saw them prosper despite their wickedness.

Look at these wicked people— enjoying a life of ease while their riches multiply.

Did I keep my heart pure for nothing? 

Did I keep myself innocent for no reason?

So I tried to understand why the wicked prosper. 

But what a difficult task it is!


He then went to the source of truth:


Psalms 73:17-19

Then I went into your sanctuary, O God, and I finally understood the destiny of the wicked.

Truly, you put them on a slippery path and send them sliding over the cliff to destruction.

In an instant they are destroyed, completely swept away by terrors.


The truth is that when you are in the wrong environment or atmosphere you could get a warped mind and misjudge things. For everything would seem one way but be actually something else. Selah


The church community is not left out, a lot of gatherings now do not have God in them, Christ is not their Lord, so many are either directly or indirectly sold out to the enemy. Some have been offered to Mammon, some to self and some are a mere caricature, yet still many are faithful, the Lord will keep them stronger and expose the evil ones and deliver His people from them. May we not be led astray.


John 4:23-24,26

But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way.

For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.”

Then Jesus told her, “i am the Messiah!”


Many have gone down the road of choosing inequity or complacency because they have been disillusioned by the seeming evidence that the wicked prosper. This is not true.


Not everything is what it seems but wait you don't have to fall into that pit to know that it was just a mirage.


Yesterday we saw what the prophet reminded king Asa:


2 Chronicles 15:2

and he went out to meet King Asa as he was returning from the battle. “Listen to me, Asa!” he shouted. “Listen, all you people of Judah and Benjamin! The Lord will stay with you as long as you stay with him! Whenever you seek him, you will find him. But if you abandon him, he will abandon you.


We must understand that we are just "a person", many are, many were and many will yet come.


This is why I have so much respect for those in scriptures who stood strong for the Lord even when no one else on earth or in their nation was faithful.


People like Enoch, Noah, Abraham, even Lot and many others.


The Lord always cares for the righteous and He takes care of them. To get God's attention, walk in the path of righteousness. Joseph, Daniel and even Cornelius will tell you this. 


Never choose the way of evil, those trapped in it may not tell you what they are going through but may consistently flaunt the goodies we think they have. Don't fall for it.


Listen, what exactly is their gain? What can the enemy give that is real?


Only the Lord can say:


Proverbs 10:22

The blessing of the Lord makes a person rich, and he adds no sorrow with it.


This is what we should seek for and not that which is evil.


Matthew 6:33

Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.


May the Lord keep us wise and faithful, we would not fall into temptation but are already delivered from evil.

PRAYER

Loving Father as I remember my birth today, keep me in Your righteousness which is in Christ Jesus, it is Your prosperity I choose I don't need that of any other. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.


He calls us blessed.

DO UNTO OTHERS . . .

Matthew 7:12 "Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets. It is hypocritical of us to expect people to stand with us when we are experiencing challenges yet when we see others face their own challenges, we begin to imagine what they must have done wrong or maybe they annoyed God or did one evil or the other instead of reaching out to help as we would desire others to do for us. The same thing goes for prosperity, when the Lord opens a door for us and we have abundance of wealth or a breakthrough we expect others to rejoice with us, more so, some would even find it hard to give to others. What is our reaction when someone else gets this breakthrough, do we get suddenly suspicious without reason. Do we expect the person to reach out to us?
