The Noise

John 10:27-28

My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.

I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me,


We live in a world that is full of noise.  A lot of things come in from every corner. How do you filter out the evil from the good, how do you keep your self safe from being corrupted, deceived or destroyed?


By always being at the right frequency.


If you are to live in faith you should hear the voice of the Lord above all the noise.


Psalms 62:11

God has spoken once, Twice I have heard this: That power belongs to God.


Jesus said His own will hear His voice and thus they would follow Him, they would not follow another.


John 10:27

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:


So many things seek our attention.

* Some are very important

* Some are not that important

* Some are a mere distraction

* Some come to destroy

* Some yet come to bring fear and hopelessness 


They all work to destroy our faith. They will not succeed.


As we go about our duties and roles, it is important to listen to the Father and He speaks to us through His Holy Spirit.


No wonder the character of the Holy Spirit is "patience".


We must learn to patiently listen, because, yes he would surely speak.


The love of God could seek your attention when you get so carried away or distracted, when you pay no attention or bother to listen to what He says.


Oh what pain, if we need crises to make God get our attention: It is never sweet.


Some stay deaf to God till it is too late, and they have to leave the scene.


Luke 12:20

"But God said to him, 'You fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?'


He was too busy acquiring wealth, he must have listened to the analysis, the forecasters, he may have had so many advisers, even spiritual contractors.


God could have been speaking but he wouldn't have heard, so much noise had taken over.


Funny enough when he had finally calmed down, he heard the voice but it was too late.


THIS IS NOT FOR US!


We will hear His voice even in the midst of all the noise around us.


We will do His will.


And of course He will direct us to prosper and succeed.


Psalms 37:23

The Lord directs the steps of the godly. 

He delights in every detail of their lives.


Yes we will.


Jeremiah 29:11-12

For I know the plans I have for you,” says the lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

In those days when you pray, I will listen.


Have you read the word, have you worshipped, and have you prayed today?

The God we serve is able to take care of us, don't let anyone frighten you, don't let anyone make you give up or give in, keep on working, keep on praying, keep on listening and keep your heart pure.


Psalms 37:23,25

The Lord directs the steps of the godly. 

He delights in every detail of their lives.

Once I was young, and now I am old. 

Yet I have never seen the godly abandoned or their children begging for bread.


Glory to God forevermore.


PRAYER

Loving Father I know there are so many enticing sounds, but Lord keep me tuned to Your frequency that I will always be attentive to Your voice, my victory is already won, I receive it today and everyday. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore. 


He calls us blessed.

DO UNTO OTHERS . . .

Matthew 7:12 "Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets. It is hypocritical of us to expect people to stand with us when we are experiencing challenges yet when we see others face their own challenges, we begin to imagine what they must have done wrong or maybe they annoyed God or did one evil or the other instead of reaching out to help as we would desire others to do for us. The same thing goes for prosperity, when the Lord opens a door for us and we have abundance of wealth or a breakthrough we expect others to rejoice with us, more so, some would even find it hard to give to others. What is our reaction when someone else gets this breakthrough, do we get suddenly suspicious without reason. Do we expect the person to reach out to us?
