BEFORE THE BEGINNING

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. How the very first verse in the record of scriptures looks so simple but is the beginning and conclusion of all things. Glory  Looking so ordinary, so simple a fact, straight to the point. Truth! That God was the beginning of anything that can or cannot be defined and that it was after that, that anything could be defined. here it is  . . . ****** We can then say that "Before the beginning there was God"    . . .  ****** Even people who have not been saved, except real atheist believe this simple truth. Even atheist themselves have their argument on this, for they try to disprove it. Selah Now we who have believed need to live and take full advantage of this great privilege. That our God is the beginning and He is also the end. That is why we call Him "Alpha and Omega". Revelation 1:8 "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End," says the Lord, "who is and who was and who...

ARE YOU STUCK IN THE MUD?

Psalms 3:3 But your strength, O Lord, is round me, you are my glory and the lifter up of my head. When you do not understand the glory you carry you could succom and be limited to the mundanes. If any man is in Christ he is not just significant here on earth, the heavens respond to him, recognises the sonship and therefore he draws from the heavenly bank. He doesn't rest merely on the rain that falls on the good and bad but dines as a member of royalty. 1Peter 2:9 But ye [are] a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: We cannot merely sit idle, we are not mediocre, we have a purpose, a mission, we are relevant. Know that even when you sit and do nothing events keep coming up to take your cool and cause you pain. So why not define the events, take charge. Proverbs 16:9 We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps. Then better to st...

KEEP A PURE HEART

1 Chronicles 17:16,26-27 Then King David went in and sat before the Lord and prayed, “Who am I, O Lord God, and what is my family, that you have brought me this far? For you are God, O Lord. And you have promised these good things to your servant. And now, it has pleased you to bless the house of your servant, so that it will continue forever before you. For when you grant a blessing, O Lord, it is an eternal blessing!” Glory! Truly it is a blessing to be recognized by the Heavenly Father. I am not talking of people claiming this or that, NO, I am talking of people whose hearts are fully on Him. Those God commend! John 2:24-25 But Jesus didn’t trust them, because he knew all about people. No one needed to tell him about human nature, for he knew what was in each person’s heart. Never get tired of living a pure life, maintaining a heart that is after the Lord and full of His fruit. Isaiah 26:3 You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you! Hebr...

DON'T FORGET YOUR FAMILY

1 Chronicles 16:43 Then all the people returned to their homes, and David turned and went home to bless his own family. David had finally succeeded in bringing in the ark. He had given instructions to the priests and also the Levites, everything had been put in place. 1 Chronicles 16:1,4,37,39 They brought the Ark of God and placed it inside the special tent David had prepared for it. And they presented burnt offerings and peace offerings to God. David appointed the following Levites to lead the people in worship before the Ark of the Lord—to invoke his blessings, to give thanks, and to praise the lord, the God of Israel. David arranged for Asaph and his fellow Levites to serve regularly before the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant, doing whatever needed to be done each day. Meanwhile, David stationed Zadok the priest and his fellow priests at the Tabernacle of the lord at the place of worship in Gibeon, where they continued to minister before the Lord. He even wrote the song to be sang: 1 Ch...

NOT JUST FEELINGS

Proverbs 14:29 People with understanding control their anger; a hot temper shows great foolishness. We as humans were made in the image of God and we therefore carry His attributes, we have feelings, yes God does have feelings from the little we know of Him. However, not like we humans. Acts 17:29 "Therefore, since we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, something shaped by art and man's devising. So ofcourse we get angry, we are excited, we laugh, we love, we are unhappy sometimes and so on and so forth. "The issue is not how we feel."  This cannot be over-emphasized. Many a great men, inventors, achievers, and leaders would never have made it if they had depended on their feelings. Feelings can be a fraud, feelings deceive 😀 Yes the mood will change, we could get depressed, discouraged, delayed, disappointed but we can not afford to give in to them. We stay strong, we listen to our spirit not our e...

DO THE RIGHT THING

1 Chronicles 15:2,13,28 Then he commanded, “No one except the Levites may carry the Ark of God. The Lord has chosen them to carry the Ark of the Lord and to serve him forever.” Because you Levites did not carry the Ark the first time, the anger of the Lord our God burst out against us. We failed to ask God how to move it properly.” So all Israel brought up the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant with shouts of joy, the blowing of rams’ horns and trumpets, the crashing of cymbals, and loud playing on harps and lyres. Just do the right thing!  Simple  However, in the flesh it is not that simple. We avoid a lot of problems when we do the right thing. David had a good intention in bringing the ark of the covenant to the city of David, however as we saw in chapter 13, he didn't do it the right way. When dealing with God, just do it the right way. Same thing with dealing with your spouse, parents, children, employer, employee etc. Can we stop making excuses. Hiding under divers reasons. Just...

MAKE ROOM IN YOUR HEART

1 Chronicles 15:1 David now built several buildings for himself in the City of David. He also prepared a place for the Ark of God and set up a special tent for it. Listen,no matter how much you think about yourself and all concerning you, make sure there is room for the Lord in your heart. Jesus said: Mark 8:36-38 And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul? If anyone is ashamed of me and my message in these adulterous and sinful days, the Son of Man will be ashamed of that person when he returns in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.” I love this song "make room", written by  John Mark Hall, Matt Maher and sang by  Casting Crown Chorus: Is there room in your heart? Is there room in your heart? Is there room in your heart For God to write His story? You are bothered so much about people, what will they say, what will they do, what will they think of me. Have you taken time to think of what God thi...
