MAKE ROOM IN YOUR HEART

1 Chronicles 15:1

David now built several buildings for himself in the City of David. He also prepared a place for the Ark of God and set up a special tent for it.


Listen,no matter how much you think about yourself and all concerning you, make sure there is room for the Lord in your heart.


Jesus said:


Mark 8:36-38

And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul?

Is anything worth more than your soul?

If anyone is ashamed of me and my message in these adulterous and sinful days, the Son of Man will be ashamed of that person when he returns in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.”

You are bothered so much about people, what will they say, what will they do, what will they think of me.


Have you taken time to think of what God thinks, say or do about you?


Have you made room for Him in your heart?


Or have you completely occupied yourself with other things?


If is terrible because that is the type of life some supposed believers live. They only remember God when there seems to be a problem, challenge or difficulty. They are only God's own whenever trouble seem to rise even though most times they are the architect of it.


Can we stop!


Make room in your heart. Know God for yourself.


Stop looking for who to blame or who to accuse. Spend those times with the Heavenly Father who has all things in His control. 


If you don't draw near unto Him, how will He draw near to you. The choice is yours.


James 4:8

Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world.


Let's make room in our heart.


Romans 12:1-2

And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.


Help us Good Lord.


PRAYER

Lord my heart is Yours, it all belongs to You I give You all the glory, yes, I love You. My heart is full accommodation for You, fill me up Lord. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.


He calls us blessed.

DO UNTO OTHERS . . .

Matthew 7:12 "Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets. It is hypocritical of us to expect people to stand with us when we are experiencing challenges yet when we see others face their own challenges, we begin to imagine what they must have done wrong or maybe they annoyed God or did one evil or the other instead of reaching out to help as we would desire others to do for us. The same thing goes for prosperity, when the Lord opens a door for us and we have abundance of wealth or a breakthrough we expect others to rejoice with us, more so, some would even find it hard to give to others. What is our reaction when someone else gets this breakthrough, do we get suddenly suspicious without reason. Do we expect the person to reach out to us? MY YEAR OF FULFILMENT

Psalms 57:2 I cry out to God Most High, to God who will fulfill his purpose for me. We just finished the book of 1Samuel, in this book we see the cry of Israel for a king and how God raised Saul to rule them. We also saw how Saul disobeyed God and lost kingship for himself and his generation. He did not stop there, he went on to seek for the death of David, whom he saw as the next heir of the throne. In chapter 31, the last chapter, we see how Saul and all his sons and men were killed, it was tragic, however it was as a sign of relief for David. We could go on counting all the struggles and difficulties we faced in the past year. No, we should not, we should begin to look at all the positives, remembering all the good things God has done for us. If He promised it, He will do it and that is what we hold onto as we go through this year.
