REALITY CHECK 4

1 John 4:10

This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.


We have established that God is the One we submit to and that He is the One that assures us eternal life, and endless time of bliss after our time here.


The question then was how did He do this?


Here is the answer.


John 3:16

“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. 


Christ Himself revealed this in His conversation with Nicodemus who wanted to know about eternal life.


He did not stop there but revealed more:


John 10:10

The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.


No one ever could make these bold statements not before and not after His revelation on earth.


No one else can offer eternal life - NO ONE! 


There was no one sent before or after Christ that can make these bold claims, they have nothing to offer.


So why are people trapped in different religions, cults, sects and have not received this grace that God gave?


* They have been deceived

* They are afraid

* They are ignorant

* They are held in bondage


This is why we preach the gospel.


Jesus said:


Mark 16:15-16

And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone. Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned. 


Also,


2 Corinthians 5:19-21

For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. 

So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!” For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.


This is a reality check and if you are not yet on track, you can do so quickly.


Glory to our Heavenly Father who sought for us when we did not know.


Thank You Heavenly Father for the sacrifice of Your Son to make us Your own. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.


We are victorious.

OUR GIVING

John 12:3 Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment. NEVER TAKE REVENGE!

Romans 12:19 Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say, “I will take revenge;I will pay them back,” says the lord. Offences would surely come as we continue our journey here on earth. One thing we must learn to do is never to act when we are angry. Almost one hundred percent of the time, if we reflect on it, we find that we regret our actions. It is not that we do not get angry, the bible teaches that even when we do, it should not lead us to sin. Ephesians 4:26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: If an enemy hurts us, well what do we expect from an enemy. However betrayal is when a friend intentionally hurts us.
