REALITY CHECK 3

Isaiah 9:6

For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.


Almost everyone living today accepts that there is a divine power that controls the universes. In science they could call it a force, in philosophy they could call it a powerful mind, in religion we call God!


What is the story, the story is that life began from Him.


So many religions come with their definition of God, some talk of the One God and lesser gods, some have multiple Gods.


If you have carefully studied all religions and beliefs, you will find out something. None really have an assurance of eternal bliss!


Wait!


Only Christ could make the bold statements!


Matthew 11:28

Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. 


Only Christ has seen and can reveal the One God, the Heavenly Father!


John 1:18

No one has ever seen God. But the unique One, who is himself God, is near to the Father’s heart. He has revealed God to us.


Jesus the Christ (Yeshua Hamaschiach) is not saying that He has merely just seen God, no He is saying that no one has ever seen God but Himself and only Him can reveal God to anyone. Not just that, no one can reveal Him but God Himself the Father. 


Do you know what these statements mean?


Listen, no prophet could make any claim like this, not Moses, not Abraham etc.


It did not stop there He also claimed that the prophets saw Him and rejoiced.


Now we could check every belief system in the world, every religion and we would never find this bold claim!


Now someone would ask why do you belief this?


1. By scriptures 

2. By conviction in the Spirit

3. Evidence.


Many books exist claiming to be a revelation of God to this person or that person, some with no one to collaborate them but the scriptures that is including the Torah, the prophets, Psalms, Gospel and the New Testament are testimonies spanning about 40 authors of different time frame.


The scriptures is not a one man claim to have encountered God but many claiming the same thing. God revealed to man and this revelation fulfilled in Christ Jesus.


So, reality check, all could not be wrong and that is why Jesus said:


John 5:39

“You search the Scriptures because you think they give you eternal life. But the Scriptures point to me! 


Christ is not a prophet, or mere messenger He is God revealed, the very word Himself. He said come unto me, no other being can claim that, NO ONE!


So He asks you today:


John 5:39-40

“You search the Scriptures because you think they give you eternal life. But the Scriptures point to me! Yet you refuse to come to me to receive this life.


He boldly said:


John 14:6-7

Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. If you had really known me, you would know who my Father is. From now on, you do know him and have seen him!”


He is not a way, He is the way. You cannot try to incorporate Him into your belief system or count Him among the prophets, He is life Himself!


John 11:25

Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. 


So, reality check, have you believed, have you received, have you become?


Time is ticking away, take the right step now.


Loving Father, thank You for revealing Yourself to us in Christ Jesus, we believe, we receive and by Your Spirit we become. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.


We are victorious.

NEVER TAKE REVENGE!

Romans 12:19 Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say, “I will take revenge;I will pay them back,” says the lord. Offences would surely come as we continue our journey here on earth. One thing we must learn to do is never to act when we are angry. Almost one hundred percent of the time, if we reflect on it, we find that we regret our actions. It is not that we do not get angry, the bible teaches that even when we do, it should not lead us to sin. Ephesians 4:26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: If an enemy hurts us, well what do we expect from an enemy. However betrayal is when a friend intentionally hurts us. Check it! What makes us think it is intentional? So better to talk about it than be silent!
