REALITY CHECK 1
1 Corinthians 15:19
And if our hope in Christ is only for this life, we are more to be pitied than anyone in the world.
We have a set of believers who practice what can be termed as hyper-faith. A faith that takes away all responsibility from them and leaves them in a sort of delusion that makes them think that they would not face any challenges and would not be accountable.
The truth is that Christ said:
John 16:33
I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”
What exactly is the error?
The error is not understanding that our life here on earth is extremely limited. 120 years, that is quite little. What the Lord promises goes far beyond this life to the uncountable years in eternity.
So our promise surpasses this world.
Does it mean we are meant to suffer now? No!
It means we must not sacrifice our eternity for the present pleasures. That is never trade your eternity for anything in the present for they will pass away.
Think of it, the luxuries years ago are antics and old now, imagine having traded (as many young girls did) your fidelity for a blueberry phone? Where is it now, some in this generation do not even know what it is!
So, we are not on these earth to suffer but to prosper, however we must understand the trade system and not like Esau trade our birthright for instant gratification.
This is a reality.
Loving Father, help us by Your Spirit to walk wisely that as You prosper us in this life we will not trade our eternity for anything in the present. We trust in You Lord. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.
We are victorious.
Love
@the watcher.
