NEVER TAKE REVENGE!

Romans 12:19

Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say, “I will take revenge;I will pay them back,” says the lord.


Offences would surely come as we continue our journey here on earth. One thing we must learn to do is never to act when we are angry. Almost one hundred percent of the time, if we reflect on it, we find that we regret our actions.


It is not that we do not get angry, the bible teaches that even when we do, it should not lead us to sin.


Ephesians 4:26

Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:


If an enemy hurts us, well what do we expect from an enemy. However betrayal is when a friend intentionally hurts us.


Check it! What makes us think it is intentional?


So better to talk about it than be silent!


Luke 17:3

Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.


If it hurts, then talk about it, it is always a wonder what we discover when we talk about it. Then we can forgive.


Really we have to, God expects this from us and it is also our criteria to be forgiven.


Matthew 6:14

For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:


If we don't forgive, then vengeance sets in and most times we get hurt ourselves and we put God out of the picture.


Ephesians 4:32

And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.


Listen, there are some that refuse to dissist from there evil ways, they best you could do is to cut them off that you would not be offended again and again. Remember that evil communication corrupts good manners.


We receive more wisdom from the Holy Spirit to live a life free from strive, malice and hatred.


We receive more grace to live God's way in the leading of His Spirit. Remember the first character of the Spirit is love. Thus forgiveness flows. May nothing tamper with our joy.


It is well with us.


We are victorious.

GOOD LIKE YOUR FATHER

Genesis 1:31 Then God looked over all he had made, and he saw that it was very good! And evening passed and morning came, marking the sixth day. There is one thing we must have in mind, "it is the desire of our Heavenly Father that we should be like Him". He is good and He expects us to be good, we follow in His good nature. One of the attributes of the Heavenly Father's goodness is in the perfection of His work. What can be said of your works? Listen, the Psalmist sang: Psalms 118:23 This is the Lord’s doing, and it is wonderful to see. Look at those who walked with the Heavenly Father in scriptures, their works were wonderful to behold, is it when they worked in spiritual positions, Joseph and Daniel in interpretation of dreams and giving wise counsel; or the prophets when they delivered God's message or did miracles.
