Psalm 43:2

For thou [art] the God of my strength: why dost thou cast me off? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?


David is a very good example of one who has faced oppression from enemies.

We may want to blame David for complaining, having that feeling that God is not there. Have you really faced what He faced?


The early believers faced real oppression. We understand that many of them from Stephen to all the other apostles, were martyed for their faith.


The struggles of believers today has not been that great compared to those days. Notwithstanding some are yet being killed for their faith while others are persecuted and denied their freedom and rights because of their faith.


In the midst of all these many are still living the complacent christian life, this being because of the spread of acceptance and generalization of the faith in many areas. We should remember that people paid the price up to their lives for us to enjoy this.


When the church came into politics and government systems, it became easy to say that you believed. However, places do exist where christians are not at liberty to practice in peace, neither are they free to share their faith, here real tribulations and trials exist.


Never get it twisted, every person's work must be tried:


1 Corinthians 3:13

 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.


No one is excluded unless we are not walking with Christ.


John 16:33

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.


We are not permitted to suffer for doing the wrong things, that is not our character, No. We are known for good works, not for evil works. For we carry the Spirit of God in us. However, when we are persecuted for righteousness or for our faith, Christ say we should rejoice!


One thing we learn from David is not to dwell long in the pain. No tribulation can stand God's praise:


Psalm 43:4

Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God.


So that we can say as David and the sons of Korah kept saying again and again:


Psalm 42:5&11, 43:5.

Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, [who is] the health of my countenance, and my God.


We wipe the tears and trust again:


Psalm 30:5b

weeping may endure for a night, but joy [cometh] in the morning.


So what has brought you down, what is that thing that makes you cry and maybe even ask: "Lord why me", Lord where are You . . .


It can never be more than you can bare. Remember, He who sacrificed His Son for you can take of it all. Don't fret, dry your eyes, arise pray, listen then take action. It is time.


Arise, wipe your tears for your light has come, the glory of the Lord is risen on you. We have victory.


Yes, victory is ours, we must not stay long in the pain, we change to praise then we gain. The Lord has heard us, we listen and we receive direction. The surge is over, we now understand and we now stand and prosper. Glory.


Glory to God forevermore.


We are victorious.

NEVER TAKE REVENGE!

Romans 12:19 Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say, “I will take revenge;I will pay them back,” says the lord. Offences would surely come as we continue our journey here on earth. One thing we must learn to do is never to act when we are angry. Almost one hundred percent of the time, if we reflect on it, we find that we regret our actions. It is not that we do not get angry, the bible teaches that even when we do, it should not lead us to sin. Ephesians 4:26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: If an enemy hurts us, well what do we expect from an enemy. However betrayal is when a friend intentionally hurts us.
