YOU ARE MORE THAN THIS
John 21:3,15
Simon Peter said, “I’m going fishing.”“We’ll come, too,” they all said. So they went out in the boat, but they caught nothing all night.
After breakfast Jesus asked Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?”“Yes, Lord,” Peter replied, “you know I love you.”“Then feed my lambs,” Jesus told him.
It is natural for every human to have something they are passionate about, some activity, job, sport, hubby or career they feel they cannot do without. (What is yours?)
However, we must never sacrifice our assignment to satisfy it.
It is worse still if we give room for bad habits or even addictions.
We must be deligent and excellent in our earthly work for that is a must for all believers, mediocrity and laziness are not acceptable in the kingdom of God, so here on earth, all believers must excel.
So in that job, position, business or office, you must be found blameless, with integrity, deligent and excellent in your role. There is no excuse!
The same also applies to our heavenly assignment.
If you are a believer the time comes when you have to decide to choose. Which takes priority? God's mission for your life or that which will gratify your feelings or emotions.
Hebrews 12:1
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset [us], and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Knowing that every glorious thing has its price.
We have a high price in heaven, we should never forget this when we make sacrifices.
1 Peter 1:4
and we have a priceless inheritance—an inheritance that is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and decay.
(Have we limited ourselves to earthly inheritance?selah)
The Lord has not taken us out of the world, He wants us to live a good life here, however not in sin or away from His will. We must abide in His love. For definitely our time here will end.
May God's Spirit guide us continually to make the right sacrifices. May we always please the Lord.
May we prove that "we love Him more than these". O help us Good Lord. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.
We are victorious.
Love
@the watcher.
