ARE YOU LIKE YOUR FATHER?

Matthew 5:48

But you are to be perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect.


This is one of the scriptures that make people say things like "it is impossible to please God". The reasoning is that no one can be perfect. Well, the truth is that you believe, you become and you belong. Selah


Are we ready to be like the family we became a member of? It is one thing to be adopted into God's family it is another to walk in the ways of the kingdom.


Titus 1:16

They profess to know God, but in works they deny Him, being abominable, disobedient, and disqualified for every good work.


What we profess, we must prove for we cannot say we know God then work in iniquity.


1John 3:3

And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.


For we must remember what Christ said:


Matthew 7:20&21

 "Therefore by their fruits you will know them.

 "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.


We must never be in doubt of the nature of our Heavenly Father.


James 1:17

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.


So what He asks us to do is to walk in the Spirit for that is the only way we would not fulfil the lusts of the flesh, where things like pride and all other characters that take us away from God would not have dominion over us but we will mortify our members in the flesh:


Colossians 3:5  

Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:


For they are all distractions to take away from You the life which God has given you. Don't let them have their way.


The beauty of it all is that God has empowered us by His Holy Spirit to live that nature that He asks us to, we are not alone. Glory.


Oh what awesome love.


Let us live like our Father. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.


We are victorious.

CHRIST'S RULE

Isaiah 11:9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea. The prophecy on Judah's predicament did not end there, there was the prophecy of the return of the remnant. The end of the days will see a new wave of peace and joyous happiness.
