DO NO WRONG

Colossians 3:23

And whatsoever ye do, do [it] heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;


There is no teaching in scriptures be it of the books of the old testament or in the record/writings of the new testament that suggests that doing wrong will go unpunished.


Why do some teach and act as if we can get away with doing wrong?


Colossians 3:25

But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.


Anything that does not please God is sin, anything done away from faith is also sin, for we must learn to trust God. Yes we are empowered to do lots of things in this present world yet we must still rely on the all Sufficient God that we will not err.


The book of Proverbs divided its teachings between the good(prudent) and the simple(foolish/sinner).


Proverbs 22:3

A prudent [man] foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.


Christ said:


Matthew 7:19

Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.


Because we identify a tree from its fruit:


Matthew 7:20

Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.


Can a believer say that they do not know the difference between right and wrong?


Galatians 5:19-23


We cannot remain toddlers forever!


Hebrews 5:12

For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which [be] the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.


That is why John wrote:


1John 3:7

Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.


Never get comfortable with doing wrong. Do not get your hands into it, because it sinks like a pit, the more you dig in, the deeper you sink.


We receive God's mercy to dwell in His righteousness, and as Christ prayed for us, the Heavenly Father will keep us from evil.


John 17:15

I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.


May all our work be pleasing to the Heavenly Father, may we continue making the Son proud.

BY HIS MERCY

Jude 1:21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. As we go on our christian journey challenges will surely arise. No one was promised a smooth sail.  1 Peter 4:12  Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: However we must be encouraged to stay strong especially in those times when it seems we may want to fall or give up. Remembering that it is not an option. We have His mercy. THE MISERY OF THE DRUNKARD

Isaiah 28:1 Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim, whose glorious beauty [is] a fading flower, which [are] on the head of the fat valleys of them that are overcome with wine! Being drunk is an attribute related to losing control of one's mind due to the strong influence of a substance such as alcohol. There was a woe against the drunkards of Ephraim as we see in Isaiah 28, the rebuke was more on priests, prophets and leaders: Isaiah 28:7 But they also have erred through wine, and through strong drink are out of the way; the priest and the prophet have erred through strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine, they are out of the way through strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble [in] judgment.
