NOT TO HEART

Romans 12:17

Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.


One thing we cannot avoid as we go on with our journey on earth is our relationship with others. There are things we can't choose.


* Who our parents are

* Who our siblings are

* Who our neighbours are

* Who our colleagues are

* Who drives adjacent to us or who sits close to us in a commercial vehicle.


The list extends. . . There is a limit to how much we can narrow down our choices, to have the right people around. Remember those who got betrayed, were actually betrayed by those they have come to trust. Selah!


In all, we cannot but deal with other humans, we need them and they need us too.


However offense will come and that in varying degrees. The Lord expects us not to take it too close to the heart, that it becomes difficult to forgive.


Matthew 6:14

For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:


It is our Heavenly Father's nature to forgive and we His children ought to have that characteristic too.


God expects us to forgive. Thus be careful how you relate with others. You could avoid many hurts. Selah


Romans 12:18

If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.


PRAYER

Loving Father ,help us by Your Spirit to walk in wisdom with all who come our way, that no matter what they display, we will not err. We will please You Lord at all times. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.


He calls us blessed.

THE MISERY OF THE DRUNKARD

Isaiah 28:1 Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim, whose glorious beauty [is] a fading flower, which [are] on the head of the fat valleys of them that are overcome with wine! Being drunk is an attribute related to losing control of one's mind due to the strong influence of a substance such as alcohol. There was a woe against the drunkards of Ephraim as we see in Isaiah 28, the rebuke was more on priests, prophets and leaders: Isaiah 28:7 But they also have erred through wine, and through strong drink are out of the way; the priest and the prophet have erred through strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine, they are out of the way through strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble [in] judgment.
