BY HIS MERCY

Jude 1:21

Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.


As we go on our christian journey challenges will surely arise. No one was promised a smooth sail. 


1 Peter 4:12

 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:


However we must be encouraged to stay strong especially in those times when it seems we may want to fall or give up. Remembering that it is not an option. We have His mercy.


We never grow too great that we no longer need the mercy of God, everyone of us, no matter the level we are, still needs His mercy as we go on. We of course remember that we have not gotten thus far on our own strength. No, it is the Lord's mercy.


Psalm 106:1

Praise ye the LORD. O give thanks unto the LORD; for [he is] good: for his mercy [endureth] for ever.


The tide could rise, the storms could roar, we could even face internal crises, let us remember that we are not limited to how we feel but to whom we have put our trust in. We can fail but He cannot.


Our Christianity is not a fanfare. We must know its seriousness, yet still know how to rejoice. Selah


However no matter what, we set our eyes on Him who called us.


Even if we fall, we stand again, He will pick us up.


Psalm 89:33

Nevertheless my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail.


So let us remember:


Hebrews 4:16

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.


Do you need His mercy, or you plead it on behalf of someone else. We are reminded that it is available. Come on beloved.


He begins with mercy, He keeps us in His mercy and we will finish in His mercy.


1 Peter 1:3

Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,


What a loving God we have.


Do continue in prayers.


PRAYER

Loving Father, thank You Lord for Your steadfast love never ceases, Your mercy never comes to an end instead they are renewed every morning and great is thy faithfulness. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.


He calls us blessed.

THE MISERY OF THE DRUNKARD

Isaiah 28:1 Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim, whose glorious beauty [is] a fading flower, which [are] on the head of the fat valleys of them that are overcome with wine! Being drunk is an attribute related to losing control of one's mind due to the strong influence of a substance such as alcohol. There was a woe against the drunkards of Ephraim as we see in Isaiah 28, the rebuke was more on priests, prophets and leaders: Isaiah 28:7 But they also have erred through wine, and through strong drink are out of the way; the priest and the prophet have erred through strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine, they are out of the way through strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble [in] judgment.
