DWELL IN THE WORD

2 Timothy 3:16-17

All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.

God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.


The sword of the believer is the word of God. It is also spiritual food and the lamp that illuminates our path. We cannot stay without the word.


One way to get into trouble and totally miss one's way in our journey with God through this earth is when we derail from the word.


We are to study day and night, understanding by meditation what the Lord is saying, knowing His will, being empowered, then teaching others.


Joshua 1:8

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.


David describes the word as light:


Psalm 119:130

The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.


The word gives us direction, exposes our faults, guides us through the right part then fills us with hope. The word is never exhausted, never empty but always refreshing.


We do not read by flesh, however by the Spirit we receive understanding and are thus empowered.


The word is Christ Jesus revealed. Glory to God.


John 5:39

Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.


Many seek books, but what of these revealed ones, are you through with them? Have they become a part of You and are you walking in it's power?


No one will lead us astray, the light of God's word will illuminate our part that we will never miss our way. Glory


I see us studying the word, meditating therein and being empowered. Glory.


PRAYER

Loving Father, Your word I have hidden in my heart that I may not sin against thee. Your word empowers me so I have victory in all circumstances. All Your promises are yes and amen in Christ Jesus in my life. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.


He calls us blessed.

CHRIST'S RULE

Isaiah 11:9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea. The prophecy on Judah's predicament did not end there, there was the prophecy of the return of the remnant. The end of the days will see a new wave of peace and joyous happiness. It will be characterized with the initial plan of God being fulfilled. Wildness in animals removed, wars will not need to be fought, snakes would no longer be poisonous. Peace would reign.
