GODLY THOUGHTS

Proverbs 4:23

Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.


Every action of man is birthed from the thoughts that ponder in his heart. A son once asked his mother "Mum don't you trust me?". She replied: "It is not you I don't trust, but your private thoughts"


Luke 24:38

And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?


Isaiah 26:3

Thou wilt keep [him] in perfect peace, [whose] mind [is] stayed [on thee]: because he trusteth in thee.


This is the difficult part. . . "whose mind is stayed on thee" ...


For there are many thoughts that could occupy our mind, worries, cares, mere distractions, temptations and someone what serious challenges.


In all of these remember that you can only worry about these things because God gave you life. So give Him thanks for life, then trust Him for other things. No matter how hard it seems never let your mind wonder away from God.


It brings us to the revelation through Apostle Paul:


Romans 12:2

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.


The renewing of the mind is a change from that which we have learnt from the world to that which the spirit of God breeds in us.


That is, our mind is on Christ Jesus, we are transformed to His person day after day.


2 Corinthians 5:17

This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!


However we wonder if every believer had this experience!


When one speaks and you feel bitterness, hatred, jealousy or a type of competition you begin to wonder what kind of spirit they carry.


Isaiah 26:3 says we will experience "PERFECT PEACE", it is the evidence of the spirit we carry.


We must remember that all the laws and prophets and the commands are summed up in one. . .LOVE


If you don't have it you are not of God.


1 John 3:14,23

If we love our brothers and sisters who are believers, it proves that we have passed from death to life. But a person who has no love is still dead.

And this is his commandment: We must believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as he commanded us.


So no matter what it is, don't surrender your mind to the world, it's ways or any wicked thought. Christ has given us victory so we must think and act like who we are in Christ Jesus.


May our thoughts be brought under Christ, may they be controlled by the Holy Spirit.


2 Corinthians 10:5

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;


Submit your thoughts to the Holy Spirit.


John 1:5

And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.


May the peace of the Lord which passes all understanding dwell in us now and forever. Amen.


PRAYER

Loving Father, help me keep my mind on You. Nothing is strong enough to separate me from You, Lord I submit to You completely. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.


He calls us blessed.

TRADE WISELY

Isaiah 40:31 But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. Many have traded their joy chasing over material things and the pleasures and satisfaction of the world. The question is "is it worth it?". Yes we must earn, work and keep improving day after day but we must remember "nothing is free". We must pay a price. So, what are we ready to sacrifice? CHRIST'S RULE

Isaiah 11:9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea. The prophecy on Judah's predicament did not end there, there was the prophecy of the return of the remnant. The end of the days will see a new wave of peace and joyous happiness.
