LEARN TO WAIT ON THE LORD

Psalms 27:14

Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.


There are times we have to wait.


When we have prayed, maybe fasted, cried, wailed but it seems to us that God is not interested in our situation.


We may be tempted to feel that it doesn't bother God. We may even find our counterparts getting it easy.


Still we must learn to wait.


James 1:3
Knowing [this], that the trying of your faith worketh patience.


Will it be easy? No. Yet we must wait.


Waiting on the Lord works out our patience and proves our obedience.


Micah 7:7
"Therefore I will look to the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me.


Lamentations 3:26
"It is good that one should hope and wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD"


Revelations 2:3
And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted.


"while we are expecting blessing or promotion, we keep enjoying and rejoicing in the one we have already, giving thanks."


Remember, it is those who wait on the Lord that renews their strength.


Isaiah 40:31
But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.


Seeking for alternatives will in the
long term bring bitterness and regret.


We need to be careful whose advice and suggestions we listen to.


It is in the waiting times that evil suggestions come our way


The scriptures gives us mistakes made by our fathers in their waiting period.


* Abraham went in to Haggai

* Aaron built a golden calf for the children of Israel to worship

* King Saul went ahead to make the sacrifice alone

the list goes on and on and the result on each occasion was regret.


While waiting we ought to keep busy getting to know God better studying  His word, we join in reaching out to those who don't have what we have, especially those who are yet to be saved.


We also work on that which we have already received grace for, doing good works in all our endeavors doing exploits. Waiting has no correlation with laziness, being idle, becoming a busy body or a nuisance.


We make good our waiting period!


James 1:4
But let patience have [her] perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing


I see God strengthening us.


I see our patience displayed in the power of the Holy Spirit.


We will be satisfied.


Let us learn to wait.


Habakkuk 2:3
For the vision [is] yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.


It is almost time.


May joy fill us today.


Glory to God.


PRAYER
Loving Father, I wait on You and I know You will never disappoint me. Help me Good Lord and let my rest and rejoicing begin. Yes, You have done it. Glory to Your name Lord forevermore.


He calls us blessed.

CHRIST'S RULE

Isaiah 11:9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea. The prophecy on Judah's predicament did not end there, there was the prophecy of the return of the remnant. The end of the days will see a new wave of peace and joyous happiness.
